looks hella complex. Reminds me when the kuka arm system debuted... amazing tech!

It looks like it's just a car elevated from the track, no? This allows you to put faux track between the vehicle and the create some interesting tricks/illusions, but doesn't seem overly complex to me unless I'm missing something.

We still dont know how complex the movement will be and the track layout.

Universal has done some very well done tech with Gringott's, Forbidden Journey and the Spiderman cars.

Where are the permits? That article has no new news in it. Just filler to flog old stories.
From the article:
Building permits released Tuesday include an 8.8-acre Super Mario Land in that spot, with Donkey Kong and Mario Kart sections.

The spot they are referred to earlier in the article is the Woody Woodpecker's Kidzone area.

Fun fact: #SuperMarioLand at .@UniversalORL will have 48 toilets, plans show

https://twitter.com/chickenlilchip/status/933050500399984645
The Mario Kart section of Super #Mario Land is 76,916 square feet; the Donkey Kong section, 204,993 square feet. With estimated 3 year construction time for Japan's #Nintendo expansion, USF land could be open in time for @WaltDisneyWorld 50th in 2021.

In short, Universal is going all in on Nintendo and going for fun.

CIty of Orlando does permits differently than the county.

I really want this to be better and more immersive than what any of the officially released concept art has shown. I want it to rival Diagon Alley in immersion. After the inevitable backlash for F&F, it needs to be this way.
