@MinnieM123 I'm glad you got to be the spy! I'm still waiting for my turn:( but at least my boys have been more time than I can count:inlove: as for the lockers I like the system maybe because I always have at least one loaded gift card and I hate wearing things on my wrist

Different strokes, I guess. Plus, you're used to the new system, and I assume you probably have a favorite pass code that you use for things. I was just completely caught off-guard by the whole thing.

Happy farm market Saturday, the first of the year:inlove:

Figgy, you'll laugh at this, but I thought of you Thursday morning, when I was in The Land. While I was on my favorite boat ride through The Land and looking at all the interesting plants in the greenhouse, I actually thought for a moment: this would be Figgy's dream wish here.

You'd take all those plants, cut them up, toss them in a huge bowl, and make a giant salad out of them! You'd be in your glory!! :joyfull: :joyfull: :joyfull:

Another great money saving tip for Disney food. Go VEGAN:joyfull::joyfull::joyfull:

Just curious--does that save you a lot of money? I found most things priced about the same. At the ABC Commissary for example, if you got the Mediterranean salad, that was $10, but if you got it with chicken it was $12.99. (That's only a few dollars difference--not much of a savings.)

Perhaps over the course of a week, that might add up. But I also looked a portion sizes as well. Some places were generous, and others were more skimpy. Unless a salad was more substantial (and I don't mean just more salad greens to fill up the bowl), those choices might not fill me up, if I was more hungry.

An exception might be the vegetable platter at Tangierine Cafe for $12.99.

I remember all except the purple ketchup. Which, for the record, yuck!
I'm pretty sure that Heinz rolled out three or four ketchup colors- pink, aqua-green, purple, and then blue (or am I imagining blue?).

It was totally a publicity stunt, and I think the colored ketchup tasted just like regular ketchup, but it was definitely a 90s thing that I'm okay with not returning.

So, you saw Peter Noone's concert. (I've seen him a few times down there over the years--he puts on a great show.)

Luckily, when I came in on Sunday, The Guess Who were the performers for Sunday and Monday. I caught a few of their shows over the 2 days--really enjoyed them. (If you're familiar with their songs, they did many of their big hits including: American Woman, Laughing, Undun, No Sugar Tonight, and a bunch of others.)
I loved the Guess Who's performance last time I was there. :)

Didn't have time for Behind the Seeds this year. My flight out was early afternoon (I usually stick around WDW and get a much later flight; but had to get home earlier, because hubs had to catch an early flight the next morning). Hence, I really couldn't give up an hour for the tour. :( Oh well, maybe next time.

About to go run (and walk) my first 5K! I walked one with a couple of cousins 2 1/2 years ago (got 2nd place in my age group... because there were only three people in the age group, won't be winning anything today), but this is my first time in the running category.

I realized this week that a 5K was over 3 miles, not over 2 like I'd been thinking. So we'll how this goes :in pain:

Me either, driving from Up North it would be really out of the way to stop at the South of the Border.
I should have been more specific and say that if you are on I-95 headed north or south, at least one stop at SotB is necessary (no more then one). To drive out of your path to see it would be just plain grounds for commitment to a mental institution. It is one of the last of the old time roadside attractions. It has remained because of the traffic on I-95, but, certainly not a destination in and of itself. In other words, one can live a perfectly happy and fulfilled life without ever being aware of its existence. Over time... this too shall disappear.

I remember them all. I never got to try the colored ketchup though, my mom said that they were too expensive and would probably be gross.

That's an excellent idea. I had wondered if you could purchase one for an adult, but never tried it. I'll have to keep that in mind for the future, for times when I'm not that hungry, due to the heat.

I have ordered kids meals at quick service places in the past too, it is no big deal. The cast member doesn't know if you are ordering for yourself or someone else and they probably don't care. The chicken nugget meal is a good deal, it comes with a decent amount of nuggets and fries (if that is your choice) and a cookie or fruit choice. Oh and a little thing of milk, Juice or water. I like the kids size waters as they are easy to put in my purse for carrying around for awhile.

Oh, and we usually get the kids sized Mickey waffle meal for breakfast, it has a two full size Mickey waffles and choice of bacon or sausage (or if you ask nicely one of each) and the kids size drink. It is much cheaper than the adult breakfast and it fills me up.

Kids size waffle meal.
