We're going for the first time this year-on Halloween night, to boot-and I'm thinking that this may be a one and done situation, even if we have a good time. We're paying $345 total for three of us, and that is not an extra charge that we want to incur repeatedly on our WDW vacations.
It goes beyond that, just dark for about two weeks on HEA. It's been this way for a while now, so I'm assuming it's not a glitch or oversight at this point. They may very well add them later, and I hope they do, but I can't help but think this is related to the changeover from HEA to HalloWishes in some way.
They have dessert parties those evenings. So it's an oversight.
We've discussed it before, and I hope you're right, but I'm not counting on it until I see it on the calendar. I've contacted Disney through the various sources, and all they'll say is to keep checking. I personally called dining and questioned why I could make a dessert party reservation with no fireworks currently scheduled, and they of course had no answer.
The DPB post this week listed both.
Thanks, I missed that. I was hoping for something new, but there's nothing wrong with those shows. Looking forward to our first MNSSHP.
not a dumb question. On non-party nights they run the "normal" fireworks show that they have at the time.

I would bet that comes later. They usually stagger production of new fireworks shows. Maybe with Halloween Ever After in 2018 guests will gladly pay $150/ticket!

Interesting, you'd have to think it's a simple error with Splash closed, but who knows. Hard to trust what Disney has online unfortunately.
