Paint the night is not moving to Disney World. Stop bumping this.

Thing is........WHY would WDW order PTN stuff in the first place? Wouldn't DL just send theirs over along with the rest of PTN?
Well.... TDA doesn't want to give up PTN, and they shouldn't. So TDO would be building PTN. This is all hypothetically because I'm not sure if I really believe PTN is coming so soon

Well, it was said that DL was having big issues with the PTN costumes and they needed to be redesigned/remade whatever... so it could be possible TDO is taking over fixing the PTN costumes.

Hm, if DL doesn't want to give up their PtN, what about Hong Kong?

Concerned about what will become of Magic Kingdom's new original night parade insiders have said will happen eventually...

As @marni1971 has stated several times, there is a new design ready, just no budget. I honestly don't see why/how it would be cheaper to get HKDL to give up their nighttime parade, transport it here, and probably create new costumes as well as modify the parade slightly. Also HKDL's version of PTN is much different then Disneylands. Disneyland won't give up their PTN and I don't blame them, but PTN also won't really work at MK due to many reasons.

I'm not a fan of Paint the Night (and completely agree it doesn't work at MK), and I won't regurgitate the criticism i've already posted about it in this topic and elsewhere. But it wouldn't surprise me if WDW decided that adapting some form of it was cheaper than building an original appropriate parade instead. Whether borrowing it from Hong Kong or just cloning it. A clone would probably be cheaper than a new parade at least, I don't know if shipping Hong Kong's over would be cheaper or more expensive than building a clone...

If anything should be cloned for WDW it should be Dreamlights!

Maybe for a display case? Lol I'm just kidding, but I just don't see MK getting PTN. And even if they are theres no reason they wouldn't announce it with all the backlash regarding MSEP going away with no replacement
unless they mixmatch, aka Paint the night style clothes for festival of fantasy at night (including changes to the floats by adding lightning systems)?

Wasnt there complains about some of the suits of PTN being dangerous and hurt some of the performers? perhaps new suits without these flaws?

yikes! should HAve read until the end of the page!

Curious as to whether any new parade would require any sort of infrastructure upgrades? Maybe this would be the reason why there is going to be such a large time gap between the finale of MSEP and whatever is coming up next. @danlb_2000 would probably know if any permits or anything have been filed for the Magic Kingdom regarding this.

The infrastructure is quite up to date. It had an overhaul for FoF.

Since WDI has to make new costumes for DLR anyway, TDO might have simply asked for duplicates to be made in the event they decide to bring a copy or build a clone of PTN for WDW.

Perhaps they feel cloning PTN would be the more cost effective option.

The infrastructure is up to date, but the time gap would be the same for anything, they do have to build a new parade, which could take 6-9 months. The confusing part is, if TDO had plans to create a new nighttime parade, knowing TDA wasn't sending them PTN, why would they choose to retire MSEP before having a new parade ready. And why wouldn't they have announced it then? Everything regarding this is kinda weird.

It has been stated time and time again this was a monetary move by TDO. Anyone with the ability to critically read what our insiders tell us should have picked up on this weeks ago. Nothing about this is weird, its just a serious case of denial that the dearly beloved TDO would purposefully shutter a parade to save some bucks.
I know that the plan was to get rid of the parade to save a few bucks, but my point was that the insiders have also stated that nothing new was coming, for a while. So why would a new parade (even a clone of PTN) be coming out of nowhere? It just doesn't make sense.

TDO isn't going to order costumes for a parade they aren't bringing to MK. It's a waste of money. Until we get other sources backing this up, I have serious doubts that WDW has ordered PTN costumes, or is bringing PTN to WDW.
