Not to argue about hand gestures...but aren't the index and the middle finger supposed to be together for this handsign? Not spread? I think the folks who reported this were reaching a bit...

I'm also pretty sure that the ride predates the gesture. I don't think there was any such thing as "the shocker" in 1999.

Disney only brought more attention to it by adding the finger as opposed to leaving it. I never knew what that gesture meant. I noticed it every time and saw that it was different, but like many others, I never knew or looked into what it was. Now I think it's kind of funny that he so obviously snuck it in there, but before... had no clue.

So now many question invade my brain. Did they think the change would go unnoticed? Is this some secret ploy to make people realize how "un-family-friendly" Steven Tyler is (or at least acts) and then have an excuse to remove Aerosmith? Or were enough people noticing the gesture in the pre-show to make the change a sure thing? I wonder.

You present an interesting contradiction. You critiqued me as a bitter old man, and purist, because I did not find the justure funny, and thought his Facebook response classless. But then you claim you prefer 'neither' jesters like that, or obscene language in the music. So I am confused on why you called me out as an old man if you basically agree.

So, what I am reading is that it's ok for you to want neither behaviors, but not me. Sorry I don't drool over everything a celebrity does.
