Home from the office today.
Been having problems with my feet (and, since yesterday morning, my right knee) since Monday morning. Been limping and hobbling around all week. It kicked into overdrive last night, to the point that it is beyond painful just to hobble the few steps to the bathroom. Almost fell over when I got up in the middle of the night to head to said bathroom.
So darn painful just to move my feet and lift/bend my knee.
Best I can figure, it's an acute gout attack, but, I've never had one this severe and in so many different places all at the same time, before. Usually, it's only in one or the other of the ball/big toe of a foot.
Won't know for sure (hopefully) 'til I visit the doc at 12:15.
I don't need this carp right now. :bored:

But, always looking on the bright side, it is nice to have a lazy (if somewhat painful :in pain:) day off in the middle of the week...! :D ;) :)

Sympathy like. Sending pixie dust. I have a friend who has gout and OMG it is no fun. Stay off your feet!!!!!!!!!!!! I know you don't want to hear this but I've heard staying away from beer helps. My friend says it really helps and that person could live on beer.

Hmmm...lake water is all mixed together. Goes into a water treatment plant and when purified it goes back into the system once all the ickyies are removed dumping it right back into the fresh water supply. I know all towns and cities that that feed off of lake michigan do this. Where does your reclaimed water get sent?
It comes from a lake that is also used to cool our nuclear power plant, so I try not to think about that anymore then I have too.* I know that the theory is that all the water we have we had at the creation of the earth, but, excessive usage continuously adds more junk to the water like sweat, detergents, fabric softener and so on, that the water treatment plants have to purify beyond what nature does in rainfall, streams and springs.
I am, however, constantly on the look out for any water the glows in the dark.

Thanks, Figgy! :)

Yes, it's extremely painful. :in pain:
I've heard about the beer and gout thing since I was a child. They'd be talkin' about some great uncle of mine or someone who had gout 'cause he drank too much beer.
I did some research a while back and, if I remember correctly, while beer can definitely be a contributing factor, dietary factors were more relevant...too much red meat (I know "Go veggie!" :D ;) :)), shellfish, and other stuff I can't remember right now.
I'd have to go and research it again, although I'm hopin' the doc can update me.

Anyway, thanks again, and I'm doin' my best to stay off the tootsies...! ;)

I hope she still paid the damage XD

Her insurance company, eventually, did.
Dealing with that company is a whole other story.
Without going into long, boring details, it was some small company from the town she used to live in somewhere in northwest Texas.
What an adventure... :banghead: :bored:
But, when it was all over, I ended up pocketing $1,000.
Serves 'em right for all the runaround they gave me...! :p :D

(And, I think there are at least 2 smilies up there that I've never used in a post before o_O  ;))

Would you like me to tell you what fish do in the water:D

Hahaaa...!
Yep, it's more of a Midwestern, Great Lakes area kinda' thing.
I know there are places here in town that serve it, but, I've never been to them before.
Although, our local Catfish Parlour is known for their beer beans. :hungry: :)

Did he actually find it? The article I read last night said he was LOOKING for one and that there was evidence of a large one at the edge of our solar system, so they are using high powered telescopes to look for it, but being so far out, it won't reflect much light and could still be extremely difficult to find, even if it does exist.
He said that by studying the interactions (gravity shifts..etc..) that there could be between 3 and 9 potential orbits(I dont remember the exact number) of an object with 4 times the size and mass of Earth, on a orbit that lasts approximately 2,000 years to go around the sun and 4 times as far as Neptune in a pluto like angle (skewed and not flat compared to the other planets).
So he released the info so other astronomers and scientists helped find it.

The irony is.. this could potentially be the infamously "Armageddon" or "end of days"planet.. aka Niburu.
Supposedly mentioned in mesopotamian books way before Christ when the orbit was pretty inside the other planets (during its closest approach).

ITS A CONSPIRACY!!!

Okay, I'm hungry now. And I am eating pretzels, and 7 up. Tummy troubles. I suspect I caught a virus as this appeared after the horrible headache. Darn those bugs this time of year.
I work in a school lunch room, and the stomach bug is running rampant. Still have a hard time getting those kids to wash up before they eat. (And these are the ones that are old enough to know better!) I already have my just in case supply of ginger ale and saltines. Hope you are feeling better!
