Ugh! My allergies kicked up again and so have my DDs. She was doing that coughing thing so bad this morning I think she pulled some muscles. Good call skipping the meeting, you know your own signs.
I go home if I need Benadryl. It makes me so groggy that it's not safe to drive with it in my system. A lot of times, I'll take it and immediately head home so that I'm home when it's really hitting my system hard.

On the bright side, it is like a miracle med. Asthma cleared up right away after I took it. But the entire day, I felt like I was breathing in chunks of whatever was in the air.

A glass?!?! In my house we call that an appetizer.
;)
In all seriousness, have a great time.

We're going to an event this Friday night at the Long Island Aquarium called Fish and Sips where they have like 20 or more wineries with booths. They give you a glass at the door and you sip all night. So, I guess on Friday I'm just having "a glass" of wine too.
:)

Have a blast and have at it!
Remember, I've got greenhouse livers if y'all need a couple. ;)

Wouldn't it though??!! :inlove: :inlove: Of course, if I were to meet him, I'd probably stumble over my words, trying to say something that sounded intelligent and welcoming. (I'd fail . . . )

Reminds me a little of an old Rogers and Hammerstein's TV version of Cinderella (Lesley Ann Warren played Cinderella). I always thought it was funny when the wicked stepmother was trying to "coach" her two ugly daughters about how to catch the eye of the Prince, in the castle ball. She said (something to the effect of) , "Now tell me, what fascinating opening line have you prepared for the Prince?" And of course, the daughter would say something lame like, "Lovely weather we've having, Your Highness." And the disgusted wicked stepmother would storm off saying, "Work on it!!!"

I'd probably blither out something about the weather, too. I get shell shocked in front of celebrities . . .

Hahaaa...!
I remember that show with Lesley Ann Warren. :)

I've never mingled with enough celebs to have ever been shell shocked.
Although, I do have a nice pic with myself and Craig T. Nelson from a Legends of Golf tournament Celebrity Pro-Am from way back in the day here in Austin. :)

I haven't gotten called in yet, but here they only call you in about every five years at most. My mom got called two years ago and the last time she had gotten called, she got out of it because she was nine months pregnant with my brother.

What I don't get, here at least, is why they insist on keeping you when there's either no way 1. you would get chosen or 2. you would be able to fulfill the obligation. I had a teacher one time who had to argue with them because they wanted to place her on a jury, and the case would have taken weeks and weeks. She told them, "Look, if I can't be with my classes, this is an issue." They let her off, but still. They've also kept both of my parents there 9-5 recently. With my dad being an attorney, no way would either of them get picked, so what is the point other than wasting their time? Yes, it is a civil duty, but still.

^^^^This. Civil doesn't equate to logical or efficient. We are talking about the government, ya know. End of rant.
