The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

Awww, thanks. So this chit chat thread is perplexing me a little bit (and yes, I just used "perplexing" in a sentence, whatever that means). So, do people kind of just come on here and just post whatever is on their mind? Like a stream of consciousness type thing? This seems like a very friendly place. Unlike the whale thread on the Sea World board. Or any tipping thread ever. Or the fix WDW thread. Or Katiebug101's Unmagical Day in the Magic Kingdom. This seems like sort of a safe haven. ;)

It is the best thread on here. Believe me...I've checked them all. Just jump in. Say whatever you want. People will probably respond. There are a million different conversations happening at once...just like inside my head. TMI? ;)

Ok, I have a really dumb question, but you all in the US changed your clocks back already, didn't you? My dad called today and was asking if I was about ready to go to choir, and he was a bit confused when I said no, choir starts at 8 and it's only 4:30. Then he asked if we had already changed our clocks because the U.S. hasn't yet. But I think he must be wrong, and I looked it up and everywhere said November 1st. But because he doesn't work or anything, he hasn't gotten the message that the clocks changed. Or am I crazy and he's right?

Actually a regular cup of coffee isn't all that bad at Starbucks. $1.85 here, not very different than most places. $1.49 McDonalds, $1.89 Dunkin Donuts. It is when you start buying their speciality coffees and it becomes yikes! Still none of them are as cheap as home but what is.

With tax, that's actually quite a mark up on something so inexpensive. But I will admit it's tasty coffee. Here though you have to wait in a slow line just for a cup of regular coffee that costs more. I don't see the point.

^^^^^^This That's how my dh realized I was sick. We were driving home from a store and he asked me what I wanted for dinner and I responded take out. I was at the doctor's office the next morning.

I'm with you. We eat at home 87.9% of the time. I cringe having to pay for food that doesn't taste as good as what I can make. But when I do go out for a meal, it is a really really good meal and I don't worry about the cost.

What are y'all having for dinner tonight? I'm off to the supermarket this afternoon. One of the kids has requested salmon and since today ended up being grocery day, I think I will go with that. I think I will find some inexpensive salmon pieces, fry them up with butter and carrots and green beans in the butter too. Maybe serve them with some wild rice.

So finding Dory is going to be about her with short term memory loss and trying to find her family.

Hope after the years of waiting for the release of the sequel after it was already in the can I hope it isn't depressing or sad.

I'm making beans with fire roasted tomatoes (recipe from Mexico one Plate at a time) with rice (same show) salad and sautéed greens:hungry:
