Thanks for your review, my DD told me never to watch it. I couldn't take kids abuse, having been through that myself. Not family. I'm glad she watches over me. She knows the topics I can't take. I have a great DD, so thankful for her!And my feelings on Inside Out was one of the worst I've seen since the last Winnie the Pooh Movie. Me, I thought it was just too much focus on Sadness. Inside Out reminded me of so many of the children's books and novels focusing on kids being sad and depressed along with bad things happening to them. It was meant as a kids movie and my take on it was it missed the mark on what kids could relate to. Not a good balance in the overall minutes of the film of sadness to uplifting. Likely why I don't watch A Wonderful Life.
We helped SIL, by driving his car from Kansas to Colorado, so they could move out here. It was a stick. It wasn't the most comfortable thing we have done. But, we both learned how to drive with a stick shift. I'm so glad when automatic came along! We are an odd family that way. Rarely do we drive each others cars. We know we can, we just rarely do. My DDs car is the smallest so I tend to insist that she takes mine when she is doing highway driving or when it snows hard and she has to travel because mine has
4x4. For the most part we all drive what is considered our own cars.
I'm so sorry to hear this. Surgery can have unexpected results. I had a begin thyroid tumor taken out of my neck. And if I turn my neck a certain way or take big of bites of food, I choke. I'm much more careful how I move or eat.Haha, well, the thumb is better, got more movement in it. But my index finger's metacarpal is cracked, so I have very little use of my index finger. Probably happened during surgery. I go back for another x-ray in two weeks. Doc's thinking it will heal on its own, but we have to keep a check on it. I suspected something was wrong because I could barley use it. It would flop around when I would type. It won't bend all the way down with the rest of my fingers into a fist. All my other fingers are fine and basically normal. I have to compensate by using other fingers when I type or play piano. I've never had a broken bone...until this.
Yes, our grandkids are both sick, we planned a get to gather tonight. It's not happening. That's okay, hubby and I like to have evenings to ourselves too!Kids are basically just germ incubators.![]()
There's none of that. The young girl, Riley, has to cope when her family moves. There's one sad scene where someone in her mind disappears, but it's mostly about coping with her family's move.DD told me not to watch it, for the sad parts. What do you think? I don't like kids, animals, or parents, or siblings, and grandparents passing. And no cruelty of any kind. I have always had a very sensitive soul.
DD had almost no immune system when she was born, she went through a series of shots to boost her immune system . I'm strong as a horse!. I took the prenatal vitamins, ate well. I don't know what happened. But, I was a premie and no one thought I would survive. Maybe she has hubby genes, his dad had a lot of kidney stones, DD has a kidney disease, she produces stones, about 20 a month. It's so painful for her. I wish I could take this genetic illness from her!DD also has a pretty good immune system, having only gotten a rather bad flu once this year, but mild colds the rest of the time. We were worried she would be sick all the time when she started preschool! At least that's what everyone else was telling us.
Thanks, it was yummy.Breakfast of champions!! I want to join Bets and Mr. Bets for breakfast!!![]()
I do the same thing , I found our darkest and coolest cabinet. They keep for at least a year. Of course, DD says I'm old and don't have many taste buds left. She could be right! But, some chefs, work for many years.Interesting observation you made. My thought is that since the spices in the store displays are in sealed containers, I would assume they'd be fine, until you actually pull off the seal. That's when they'd (in time) start to lose their potency. Any spices I have at home are kept in a dark cabinet, so at least I don't have to deal with sunlight wrecking them!![]()
Yes, he is the best! My puppy from afar! I went to the animal shelter, they have a lot of volunteer's. I'm on a waiting list. Yea!Walt RULES!!!![]()
A little expensive, but so worth it. The cinnamon is worth it. I do buy several kinds, but hubby and I love Spice Islands. We wait for a sale. Then we get those. I do use McCormick, when time has expired, or I've ran out. But, I much prefer Spice Islands. I don't cook with a lot of spices, so I want the best! Mrs. Dash's onion and herb is very good too. Hubby likes her spicy blend. And I cook his food, using them. Way too spicy for my stomach! I got a virus years ago, and it resulted in a stomach ulcer. So I have to be very careful!Do you ever use McCormick? I see those in all the stores around here. Sometimes they have coupons in the Sunday newspaper, too.Still, I'll also check out the Spice Island (I "think" maybe my store carries them--I'll look.)
Thanks, I'll watch it. As I've read it's really well done. Thank you for responding, with you're hand issues! There's none of that. The young girl, Riley, has to cope when her family moves. There's one sad scene where someone in her mind disappears, but it's mostly about coping with her family's move.
I've been wondering that myself. I hope all is well with him. We miss you @MR FERRET!
That's so funny, I love it! Does anyone else besides me crave pizza, this time of year!. Bring on the dough, and olive oil, toppings are the options!
Okay, I admit , it doesn't take much for me to laugh, I loved those movies. Now , I will duck and cover! In my opinion you aren't missing much. I had to supervise I movie room last year for our middle school holiday (Christmas) activities and I got stuck with Despicable Me (I think it was number 2). I hadn't seen the first one and those little minions drove me nuts, I thought they were annoying.
But, but you are covering those wonderful legs!
I don't think so....what if a fire happened during the night. It actually happened to us in San Fran. at the Hyatt, had to get up at 4:30 A.M. It was a fire in the kitchen. Went down a fire escape and stayed outside for over an hour. I had hubby and I take a wet wash cloth over our face. Helped us asthmatics breathe on the way down the stairs. We were on the 12 floor. The joy's of traveling. It didn't turn out to be serious, but it was a warning to us to always be prepared! No nakedtidity! ha!Weird fact of the day.
92% of Americans go to bed in their comfy, pajamas while 8% drift off to sleep naked.
You know how I love naps! Sweet dreams @figmentfan423!THNX for the warm wishes feeling a little bet already. I made it to the farm market and the supermarket but I'm now going to take a little nap xoxo
You deserve a new car! I hate when things break! Why can't we go back to our parent's time, my dad had a Rambler for over 40 years. He had to give it up when he couldn't get parts for it. It was so reliable.well, hopefully my mothers jeep will finally be sold, so she can get a new car.
And once I can get my new implant processor, I will save for a new car as well.
