Nothing wrong with that Halloween.

Yeah, I'm getting the shakes too. I wanna go back but the Phil monster is not having anything to do with it. I can't believe when I get my bonus (If?) I'm going to have to spend it on something like the Bahamas or Bermuda or something like that with real sand and a real ocean, etc. I want fake, dammit! And I'm not even kidding which just goes to show how insane I am. Phil is like, "why do you want to stay in Port Orleans or Old Key West when we can go to the real things?" Well, he's not wrong, but still...........arrrrgggghhhhh.

I've been to the Bahamas , but I prefer Disney, so much more to do! Are you going to cruise or fly? Take a cruise, it's so much fun. Lots to do, and lots of bars!

Yup, I had it hooked up to an older tv since it's tempermental with a flat screen. I packed it all away though (including tv) because we weren't playing it. My daughter has zero interest in video games and would rather play with her Legos.

Lego's are the best!

I'd probably use a can if we had canned here! I only do it out of necessity! I have to make everything from scratch here. There are no box mixes for birthday cake, for example...and what passes as a brownie over here is scandalous! Dutch people think the idea of peanut butter and chocolate together is disgusting...I've learned to make my own reeses!

I'd bring an extra suitcase to buy all the groceries you can't get. Is that allowed?

I never had an Advent calendar as a child, but what a cool idea to give out little gifts each day!

We did that for our kids, when they were first married. We made up the gifts, one for each day....nothing expensive, candy, note paper pencils, etc. Wrapped them all up and gave them to the kids at Thanksgiving. They loved coming home from work to see what the day's surprise was. Being newly married, they didn't have a lot of money for each other, it stretched out the fun for them, and us.

Grind? In the supermarket, they have spices all ready to use in little jars, and you don't have to grind anything!

Oh, a few weeks ago, I was looking in the back of one of my kitchen cabinets, and I found a spice jar from a market that I don't shop at anymore; so the spice bottle was 5 years old. I chucked it into the basket, because I assume you should change up the spice bottles by about the 4th year, right? I figure that's what real gourmands do.

I generally buy Spice Islands, they are very good bottled spices. Especially the cinnamon!

I've read in several places that if a restaurant is booked, you should keep trying every day, because there are always cancellations and then you can pick one of those up. Most people are apparently able to eventually get all the ADRs they wanted by the time of their trip, just by trying every day. Good luck!

I'm definitively going to be checking continuously.

Just 6 months?! But . . . but . . . you only use a teaspoon of most spices in a recipe and there's no way I'd go through even a little bottle in 6 months. I wish they sold spices in little individual, one-time amounts, like in a blister pack, for example.

That's a wonderful idea. You should e mail, that suggestion to a spice company!

I almost fell out of my chair. I know of a convenience item you don't Mc Cormack has spices for individual dishes. Way too expensive for my needs. They have quite a few at my market, sorry but I never checked to see exactly what dishes they're for

I've not looked for those, I'll stay in the spice isle a little longer!
