This is awesome! Does it switch itself off or do you have to time it? Dry or cooked pasta?
My rice cooker shuts itself of and I start with dry pasta. If you try it you may need to experiment wit the liquid a bit. I really should measure when I cook LOL My younger ds is like me he cooks mostly by sight and smell. It's hereditary my side only as my dh can only cook outside

Oh carp my dh has to go in for half a day tomorrow:mad::mad::mad::mad: It's more like 3/4 day 6 hours:mad::mad::mad: He said we'll pick up the boys and then go shopping. I knew this project would have some crazy hours but it's getting annoying trying to schedule anything. We're both thankful his work is more than steady but would it be too much to ask for a schedule 2 days in advance.:hilarious: Rant over
Understand, hubby had to do that for over 40 years. Sometimes he would come home in the middle of the day, to pack a bag and fly off. I made sure he always had plenty of white shirts to take with him. His firm only accepted white shirts and ties, and a suit!

I don't think they'd mind if he showed up in jammies as long as he shows up tomorrow. He could have said no but it will look good if he goes in. While on the subject of they don't care about how he looks it's no shave November YUCK!!!!!

For myself, it's more about coming up with different dishes to cook, rather than the ease of cooking. I don't think cooking per se is difficult, but it can be time-consuming and takes effort, and after working all day, coming home to do more work just isn't appealing!
I understand, when I worked, I was much too tired to cook. I did, but I had no energy for the clean up, and we didn't have a dishwasher. So the dishes soaked in the sink. I got up early the next day, ran a fresh sink of soap and water, and did the dishes then. Thanks for technology and dishwashers. Even though we have a new one being delivered next week. ;)

There is no difference, other than canned will have preservatives, etc. Pumpkin puree is just fresh...it's what you make yourself as opposed to a can. Most recipes I have call for one can of Libby's, but we don't have canned pumpkin here, and I don't know how many cups a 15oz can of Libby's is, so I look for recipes that call for pumpkin puree, because I can measure it. There might be some difference in consistency depending on what kind of pumpkin you use to make your puree.

Thank you for the details. Surprisingly, the can of Libby's that I looked at this morning did not have any preservatives at all. It just said ingredients: pumpkin. By the way, I admire all of you who actually take a real pumpkin, cut it up and puree it, all by yourselves!!
