It seems like its a fight of smells. every manufacturer wants to empower their perfums and products more and more.. and I only end hating them more lol.

I have noticed this with dish soap. There are 900 scents and none of them smell anything like what they should be to my nose. I find they just end up smelling gross and I can smell it on the dishes no matter how good a job I do rinsing.

I was up half the night because my darn migraine came back. The doc gave me a good prescription for 500 mil naproxen that is keeping the pain level down, which is great, except I'm worried that I will have to take a pain pill every 12 hours for the rest of time!

Bummer! But at least you got good meds - sometimes you gotta take them so you can simply function.

Sympathy like. That sucks big time. Especially when all you want to do is sleep and ya can't.

My MIL use to make a ground lamb meatloaf that use to make me gag. She knew I didn't care for lamb. One day she tried to prove I didn't know the difference between cow and lamb and said she made beef meatloaf for dinner. Seeing me gag at the dinner table likely wasn't pleasant. My DS does that weird gag thing with mashed potatoes and my DD does it will shell fish. It isn't a voluntary thing but it does make ya wonder.
I had that with deer and antelope meat. I could taste it and my mom would mix it together with regular beef, but I could still always tell. She couldn't taste the difference though, so she thought I just saw the paper in the garbage.

I buy the instant mashed potato's in the cup Idahoan , instead of water I use a milk substitute, and real butter (I can't have real milk). Stir really well add salt and pepper, really good! Add more milk or butter if too dry whip with a spoon. I have these about every two weeks. Great for two people. Betty Crocker is not the same, and Idahoan has several different flavors, I just prefer the "butter" ones! High calorie though. So only once in a while for me. Or I'm in a pinch for a quick side. I always have these in the pantry. They also come in a bag, and serves 4, I think.

I really like those little mashed potato cups--so quick in the microwave, and quick down the gullet! :hungry:

Yum...there's a restaurant here that does them in I think olive oil and with little pieces of bacon. Soooooo good. I love sprouts. And the American Masterchef winner....Whitney? I got a recipe from her facebook page I think...it had cream cheese with minced garlic and you cut a cross into the top half of the sprout (blanched), pipe some of the cream cheese mixture in there, and wrap it in bacon and bake them in the oven for just a few minutes. They are fantastic for something different once in a while.

OMG! That sounds like heaven. I did not grow up with Brussels sprouts so I have been learning of their joys and the different ways you can cook them.

Just steam a bunch of cauliflower chunks until soft, put in food processor, add milk or cream, butter, spices, and whirl until smooth! :hungry:

Idahoan potato cups recipe for all you gourmands who refuse to be subjected to cauliflower  :

Take off paper top. Discard. Pour in water to water line in cup. Stir a little. Put in microwave for a few minutes. Take out of microwave and put cooked, yummy spuds on plate; no milk needed, just add butter and pepper. :hungry: Eat, eat, eat . . . :D

Hubby has allergies like me. So none of that stuff. It's scentless laundry detergent. We buy dark clothes, so if the detergent is not great, we add baking soda, and vinegar in the first rinse! ha!

That's interesting. @Gabe1 likes ammonia in her towels wash, because it disinfects and makes her towels soft.. She adds a cup to the detergent cycle. (I tried it once out of curiousity. It works, but ammonia in the cup before you pour it in reeks--even my dog left the room . . . ) :hilarious:

You use baking soda and vinegar. How much of those do you use? Is it a good stain release option?
