People always complain about getting older and I have been known to complain about the aches and the pains. But there are so many blessings that come with age. And, for me, as each year goes by, I become more and more confident. When I think of the time spent in my youth worrying about what other people thought of my appearance... It's so different now that I'm in my mid-thirities. I realize that confidence is what matters. I am hoping that as time marches on I will become even more comfortable in my own skin.

The problem my be that just about the time you feel comfortable in your own skin..... It falls off!

I'm an "old" mom. I was almost 36 when I had her but I still don't act my age so it's all good.

I got you beat. I was 39 when I had my daughter! Definitely still don't act my age.

I don't drink coffee but my bedroom has room darkening curtains (like a hotel) so I kept them closed today. My ex worked thirds and slept during the day. When he left I never bothered to buy new ones.

I loved Humphrey Bogart in Sabrina, but I didn't like Casablanca - it just wasn't that interesting to me.

Thanks, a nap helped.Tomorrow my daughter's class has a song performance at a local festival. If I don't hear Schoolhouse Rocks songs again for awhile....I'm good.

I once had a kidney infection (not even a stone) and I will say that it is THE worst pain I have ever experienced in my life. I have a huge pain tolerance. I have given birth, even. But this was too intense.

Agreed. Have had two of those in my lifetime. The first time, I was sick for over a week and three doctors, including an ER doctor, missed it, and ignored me when I said my back hurt. The second time, I felt the pain and just knew. Called my PC, who said to go to Urgent care. They didn't believe me until the doctor pressed on my back and I leaped off the table. She was foreign, and said, "Oh, that not supposed to happen." Darn right.
