Thanks for that! I was just experiencing my first real hit of homesickness since being here. It's 9:41am here now and breakfast at this hostel ends at 10 so I am trying to wake up now. Not religious.

I'm in Jerusalem now and I am planning to go back to to Netanya today to stay with relatives there. Ill type more on the bus there.

We met up with some friends today who live down here. One is a former CM. We used his discount and went shopping.

I also do that but no its about my second job. I wanted to work less there and I got scheduled less for September but instead of being happy I got worried.
I have a problem letting my mind rest and just be happy. I over think and obsess to the point of ruining my free time and not staying in the moment.
I'm working on it.
I hope it all works out! xoxo

I am sorry that your trip has been disappointing.

I'm not here as much as I used to be, so I don't really know what your expectations were going into it.

Was this a religious pilgrimage; a desire to experience the culture; were you running away from problems at home?

Three questions:
1 - Did you have specific goals?
2 - Have you accomplished them?
3 - With a total shift in what you are doing, are they even accomplishable?

As ever Peter, I wish you all the best, but honestly only you know what you should do. If it's time to come home, you already know that. If you can change what you're doing, and make your adventure work, you already know that too.

Good luck either way.
1. Specific goals - start a business because this is where the high tech start up capital is. I can't get the grants and loans until I begin formal lessons for speaking Hebrew. I can't start the classes until I know where I will be living for the next six months. I want to live in Jerusalem but there is a housing shortage because everyone wants to live there too and they aren't building enough to meet demand. So, I've been living in hostels in Jerusalem running around looking at places shlepting my stuff everywhere getting nowhere but exhaustion.

My relatives in Netanya invited me back anand so I am on my way now back there. But I will do some deep thinking about revising my plan here.
2. See above.
3. Yes, they are but they are also accomplishable back home with equal effort maybe.

I miss my cats. Before my phone was stolen, I FaceTimed my mom and she put my cat Pebbles on the phone. Can you believe she actually recognized me and clawed and bit the phone from my mother's hand and tried to like get me out of the phone? I actually cried after that call!

My cousin gets married this month and I won't be there.

My 95 year old grandmother tells me that she doesn't know if she can live long enough until I get back and begged me to come home soon when I last spoke to her three weeks ago.

I hate this LG phone I ended up with.

I called an agent and they told me they can put me in an apartment Oct. 8 and no earlier.

I found a nice two bedroom apartment on my own in the heart Jerusalem's city center that is brand new and fully furnished for 4,600 a month (1 US dollar equals 4 shekels). I'm thinking I can rent it and sublet the other room for 2,500 shekels. The problem is that I can't move in until October.

I'm even considering going back home and then coming back in October.
