in other news I moved my virtual machine installation of Windows 10 into my new SSD and I have performed all the changes, upgrades and most of the software installations I need (including my games and work stuff).

So far I'm impressed in how Windows 10 feels. But I really hate the " kindergarten" settings. They have sanitized the settings and this infuriates me as a power user. I still wonder why they blocked so much of the advanced options even if you have the PRO version.
So far, I havent had a single crash. Some softwares that used to stutter in Windows 8.1, run fine in Win 10.
Also some software that could not run properly in Win8.1 is running flawless in Win10.
But there are other conflicts.

Yesterday I opened a game.. and it somehow overrided my calibrated Color settings of my two monitors.
Upon exiting the game.. the settings were not restored and needed to reboot.
Seems the culprit is a " fight" between AMD's Catalyst (for my RADEON 3d card), Colormunki Color system, and Windows's own color system.

Other issues I found.. are the Windows 10 Embeded apps that are triggered by just browsing certain sites.

Example, clicking on Microsoft's website using google chrome, will somehow open the Microsoft app Store.
Bbrowse Microsoft about videos.. and it will bring their PAY PER VIEW application to see TV, movies and other shows in your computer.

I know so little about computers. This is all above me. I'll just have to limp along until hubby returns, and tries a couple things. Wish I had kept up with changing technology.

I've been thinking of rolling my Surface back to 8. Having problems with the battery draining and display driver crashing
