Ha! Sorry.

I was in Central Illinois so very far from WDW. A very large chunk of Illinois, well you're living with the corn and soybean, much of the state is rural. I was in a micro-urban area, this hotel has only been open for a month, a Marriott and everything from the kitchen to bathroom to the outlets were cutting edge. The furniture was high end as was the beds and bedding. A lovely 3 days even though everytime I was on a highway seeing corn, it was green and not white snow like some of my visits down there.
ohh. so you had the opportunity to get the exclusive "debut usage" of the hotel?

Speaking of dogs and their farting hobby, sometimes Jack will fart out a really stinky bomb. But then, he always spins his head around quickly, and stares at his butt in total astonishment!! :p

(We've never been able to figure out if he is as repulsed as we are by the stench, or if he thinks he just accomplished some major feat?!) :D
maybe he's proud because he wasnt sure he was capable of such stinky feat? lol.

Ooh, Maggiano's is good! Touch choice - decisions, decisions. :cat:

We had my DDs graduation dinner at Maggiano's for a large family group. We did family style. I gave her the menu that you pick two, pick three etc. and let her pick out everything.

For her communion I had Chinese food catered in and my Sis ordered up 'help' so they took the delivery in, set it up, served it up and cleaned it up. That was a great party. They even took the dirty dishes away.

Yes, but, once I week I spoke a foreign language fluently. Someone would say something and I would reply (in Latin) to it. An outsider would come in and think to themselves... wow, these people are brilliant. They listen intently to a speech said in English and are now responding in Latin. This must be a place for scholars.
However, we are skirting dangerously close to talking about religion, so we should change the subject.
How about those Yankee's
but the yankees count as religion for some people :(

Thanks, it's definitely gonna' be a much-needed break! :)

We were talkin' about a possible day trip to Corpus Christi from Port Aransas (where we'll be staying) to see the aquarium and the USS Lexington again, but, we may just kinda' stay put there in Port A and do more chillin'.
Either way, I'm sure there will be plenty of food involved...! :hungry: ;) :)
You know, thats something I have on my bucket list too.
Visit those museum ships.
I'm particularly fond of those designed as "Haunted". (I think the USS HORNET classifies as one right?)
and I have a weakness for those manly battleships of the old era (with their monstrous guns)

I still can remember being a small kid and it being torture at Mass. Our Masses were all in Latin and our weekly Wednesday Mass the entire school attended was also in Latin. All while being told to sit up straight and pay attention. Heck I couldn't even see over the pew. Got nothing out of that hour of Mass for years. Eventually I could recite all the prayers in Latin.

It is all of *that* I believe that turned me into the dysfunctional lifer Catholic that I am today.

Good afternoon seahawk7. We are currently under a sever thunderstorm warning. Looks to be about 15 minutes away. I'm hearing the thunder. Several funnel clouds spotted around our area. To my knowledge, none has touched down, or caused any damage. It's looking less and less like Colorado, this afternoon. We bought a weather alert radio, as we have no sirens in our town. We've never needed them except for major snow storms. It's getting crazy outside now. Guess it's time to go.
Be safe.

Could very well be... what do I know. I have been a Catholic, by baptism for 67 years, went to Catholic Schools for 9 years and to Church every Sunday until I went in the service. I might have missed something in that process. Oh, well! I do know that they are religion classes because both my Daughters had to go to them.
When I went to public school I had to go to CCD as a Catholic. But when I went to Catholic I didn't have to go anymore.

It's Confraternity of Christian Doctrine. I didn't have to go to CCD classes, since I went to parochial school and we had religious classes every morning. My friends in public school went to CCD on Sunday morning after the 8:00 AM Mass.
Did the get those wafer cookies for snack that came in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry flavors? We always had those.
