Potatoes, believe it or not some of us don't drink on this thread. My ex was an abusive alcoholic. That was enough to turn me away from it.

I had a family member who also drank until almost falling down.. his entire family had issues too.

Thats why I dont even drink coca cola, beer or anything alcoholic. Hell I rarely touch coffee.

So I sympathise with you.

@Cesar R M Have you seen Nickelodeon's reboot of Alvin & the Chipmunks? So disappointing and the chipmunks look almost like real boys with tails.

I actually liked it.
The animation is a bit robotic at a times.. but no surprise as I expected them to have a lower budget than usual.

The new characters seem to be yet another "merge" of the movie versions (real chipmunks) with the toony version of the past.. creating a hybrid.

Technically they are smaller than the older cartoon versions and bigger than the movie counterparts.
In the Lil T episode.. there is a throwback model where Simon wears a female suit, and looks extremely similar to the long sweaters they used to wear in the original Cartoon.

As for the content.. The cartoon is still hilarious!
Clearly for little kids, but there are sparks there and here that are VERY FUNNY.

Unfortunately the cartoon... as usual, seem to focus 60%-80% on Alvin.

I get the fashion of belts however I've decided that belts likely work better if God has given ya hips.

I always thought it was the other way around. People without hips need belts to hold their pants up, whereas, people with hips, not so much...?

That's the funniest read I've had in a long time. Could I keep up with them? Obviously, no. Maybe an hour or two. They would be just fun to kid along with.

No apology needed. I was just chiming in that since it was briefly turning into a "Let's all go drinking" thread (which isn't why The Mom created it) I didn't want to be lumped in that category. I guess I could have stopped reading this thread (like some other members have) until the subject changed but I find it as webhome for now.

Please don't leave. No one meant any offense, just blowing off the Friday steam. I don't drink much at all, my margarita's (when I have them, consist of 1/2 oz. of tequila, 2 ounces of ginger ale, and 2 ounces of Sierra Mist and a lot of ice. To melt. I can sip this for over several hours, adding more ginger ale, and sierra mist.

Alvin and the Chipmunks are some of my favorite animated characters. I especially liked the voices used.

I guess technically if you don't have hips, then the only thing holding up the belt is cinching, which means not breathing while wearing it?
