There is truth and then there is perspective

Yep, that is true.

Perspective is often lost when one doesn't look at the big picture.

Me, I valued family time and higher education. Wouldn't change a thing no matter how many stones are tossed at my parenting style. I have two young adult children with solid careers. Both are educated and that can't be taken away from them. Both are now (within the month) self sufficient and living on their own. They have their own clear direction. My two kids while often have taken very different paths are there for each other and have each others backs, I credit that to the family bonding we accomplished throughout their childhoods. My perspective was not sharing the truth to administration was better than not having family time or my kid not receiving the scholarships to college that were earned due to dedication for years of taking their education seriously. I made sure my kids took responsibility for the work while their tushies were not in the chair. They didn't have to repeat any years of high school due to lack of commitment to their education and it was my perspective that I had to make sure that happen and I did.

Actually I take great pride in how my kids turned out. It took a great deal of sacrifice on their Dad's and my part. Nope wouldn't change a thing.

cant be worse than those twitter addicts.
posting duckfaces every 5 minutes.

I have successfully avoided Facebook. I could only Imagine me joining into the fun of it if I relocated to Florida,( my dream) would be to keep in touch with those I am face to face in touch with in life now. Now I resisted. I can't melt my relatives, friends, business and elected position into Faceboook, it is too overwhelming for me, not worth it.

Twitter I enjoy. But I only follow Disney related stuff so there isn't any drama attached. Indulge me, what the heck is Duckfaces? I'm out of the loop!

or merry melodies..
I loved the roadrunner vs coyote.

O.k. Since we're on the topic of retro cartoons (we love retro cartoons . . . :p), let's not forget Jay Ward Productions with Rocky and Bullwinkle, Boris and Natasha, and my favorites from that genre: Dudley Do-Right and Snidely Whiplash!

Note to @JenniferS , did you also get a kick out of watching Dudley Do-Right?! :)

I don't have any children, so this is just my general observation. I think that you and all the parents here on the Chit Chat do a really good job raising children. There are many different styles of parenting, and really no instruction manual to speak of; so parents find a way to arrive at the best solutions for their family, based upon their own unique circumstances.

I'm just happy to see so many dedicated parents here, because there's too much bad news in the media, on a daily basis, about neglected children.

Warning: Idiotic move of the morning --

For breakfast, I'll usually have a small container of plain yogurt. If the Fage brand (which is the most expensive in my area) is on sale, I'll buy those--otherwise, I'll just get the store's, cheaper, generic brand.

Sitting here in a dark room early in the morning, with just the light from the computer screen, I went to open up the yogurt. I thought I had taken one of the Fage brand ones from the frig; so while focusing on the screen, I removed the foil top and proceeded to grab the inner paper lining from the top of the yogurt. Instead of the paper liner, I pulled out two yogurt covered fingers! I had taken out the generic brand (cheap for a reason--no paper cover inside)! :banghead:

Warning: Skeeve alert of the morning --

I still ate it! :hilarious:

Apparently, @FutureCEO didn't realize he could also gawk at fabrics while eating his chocolate! :cat:

YES! Bring on fabric shopping. (sarcasm). Though I won't be very good not getting chocolate on the fabrics.

I don't like shopping. I go in the mall or a store, get what I want and get out. I can't buy clothes online so I have to go to the mall.
