I have had the best luck with Lands End. Being buying their suits for about 20 years, Lands End has outlets and are also in Sears which is good to find your correct top and bottom size. I always buy a tankini and usually the bottom style of almost running type short design. I order most of my suits Online at Lands End, they can be somewhat pricey but remember to go to the clearance section too to see what is on sale.

This weekend I was at JCPenny and they actually had some cute but respectful coverage suits that Moms can be in and not make their Sons go running. They are marked down quite a bit a JCP right now. Most of theirs are separates too and they did have the swim shorts I favor.
THNX I have to go right past a Penny this weekend, now I have an excuse to stop at the mall.

I'm certainly no "fashion expert" but I would think that keeping the same swimsuit for 6 years would pretty much throw you out of the club. ;):joyfull:

I can understand how you'd make that assumption; but you must remember that in the world of "style", things only become outdated for a few months. Then, they become "retro chic". So either way, I'm still quite the swimsuit fashionista! :D

I'm avoiding the news this am just checked the weather channel. I only want happy thoughts today as it's going to be cool and rainy and I was hoping for warm and sunny. How are things up your way?

Ha! ;) I can't afford the luxury of happy news thoughts during the week mornings; I need to keep on top of the traffic & public transportation situation (breakdowns, accidents, cancelled trains and/or busses, etc.,for commuting options that I have). :in pain: I also need to monitor the weather report, so I know whether or not to bring an umbrella (yes, today--showers late this afternoon). Then in the middle of waiting for those reports, I get all the crimes du jour news and any other sordid goings-on :jawdrop: that happened overnight, and make it to the morning news reports. (It's not like when I'm at WDW, and none of these things exist for me there! :p :D)

I do check the weather channel when I'm down there.:D I like the weather channel although I miss weather on the 8's as it's not all the time now. As for traffic reports in the morning no need to check here as my dh can almost bike to work if needed and has 3 ways to get there, if one road is bad, just makes a turn to take the other. The school calls here if there is an issue, but I do check the local news in the winter if it looks iffy as sometimes they post on TV before calling.

THNX It's not a rush as I'm fine for the rest of the summer. Seeing how long we'll be away next summer I was thinking a back up to bring would be a good idea and seeing I'm a strange size and shape finding one I like seems to take forever!

Hard to fit sizes are another reason why I like two-piece suits. You can get different sizes for tops and bottoms, thereby finding your perfect size. :)

I'm really thinking that might be the way I have to go. I was looking for a nice swimdress, and I'm having no luck what so ever:(

I love swimdresses. But I have found that in the two-piece selections, they can look just as pretty; they don't actually look so much like actual separates. Now, true, you can always wait until the end of the season, but keep in mind that sizes sell out, and I don't want you to get caught short.

THNX I'm missing being able to find swimdresses! No worries about wardrobe mishaps in those:)

Peter, could you please limit the number of photos you post every day to one or two? A separate thread might be a better choice - they really are taking up a lot of "chat" space. And please, no more cats. They are really disturbing to any cat lover, as most of them look very neglected. Thank you.

Just remembered. @donaldtoo asked for Pearl Harbor and Arizona memorial photos. As requested:

All those names. Like a small city that was lost that day.

Interestingly, there is still oil leaking from the ship all these years later. On a clear day, you can look down and see the actual ship. It's a very sobering experience.

Amazingly, the US was able to recover all of the ships that the Japanese had sunk except three: the Utah, the Oklahoma, and the Arizona.

The sign also continued to say that there was an escape hatch for the pilot, but it was never used. The Japanese lost about 86 pilots, some during training and testing. I believe only one US ship was ever lost because of one of these

A submarine, which you can also tour

I believe that is an active duty ship as Pearl Harbor is still an active naval base. It's also considered a national park

You definitely learn a lot, not just about the attack on Pearl Harbor but about World War II in general by visiting Pearl Harbor.

Great pictures of Pear Harbor. It was definitely a favorite memory of ours from when we went toHawaii.

I am not a fan of milk, likely because it always made me sick but my Dad made me drink 3 big glasses of it growing up, not listening to your kid, oy. He liked to dump Ovalitine into my milk at times too which made it even worse. Ovalitine, oreo cookies, that type of chocolate always made my tummy hurt. Now real chocolate I could live on.

Have you ever tried the Drinking Chocolate at Ghirardelli's at Downtown Disney? It is served hot and is simply amazing.

It doesn't taste like milk, it tastes more like warm liquefied, melted chocolate. Slurp. :hungry:

I haven't had this brand of drinking chocolate but I toured a chocolate factory in San Francsico a couple years ago and had some of theirs. It was good but really rich. I do like regular hot chocolate too.
