Day Four: This was our day trip to Versailles. We took the RER train out and we were there over an hour before opening. But we were first in line (and the first in the palace), and the couple behind us was from California/Texas. The guy had worked at Disneyland when he was a teenager so we had a good time talking about that.


As I walked through the empty halls, I pretended it was my palace and then it got crowded. The ceilings of the palace were all so beautiful too.


Hall of Mirrors, we made a mistake here. Since we were the first ones in the palace we should have booked it right to the Hall of Mirrors to get pictures without anyone but us. But we weren't sure we would be allowed to double back through the other rooms. Turns out we would have been allowed too. Oh well, we still didn't see it at its most crowded so that is good.

Then we toured the Gardens of Versailles. Even though we went on a Tuesday, during the summer they run the fountains on the weekend and on Tuesdays. I didn't think I cared at all if the fountains were running or not, but the fountains running made it even better. They even played period music out in the gardens. I love gardens, especially if I don't have to weed them! All we kept thinking about too was the Epcot show from France when they show the gardens of Versailles. Hubby kept quoting the film, I think it goes (in a mysterious voice)...."the majestic gardens of Versailles".
This fountain (above) danced to the music.



This is the fountain you might recognize from the France pavilion in Epcot, it is the Neptune fountain.

Awesome, I just see that picture and remember the awesome chocolate éclair and the hazelnut one (I mistakingly shared with hubby) I ate. I'm just blind to that memory!

Thank you so much! I need 'em. We are all on vacation right now at WDW and it's been a little bumpy so far. Hopefully it'll get smoother as we go along.

Just wanted to know, if the smoke from all the wildfires, are affecting you? Sorry about your beautiful forest's. My dad fished in Canada every year, with the uncle's (no women, allowed). He brought back wonderful pictures! I loved Vancouver when we visited, especially Buchart (sp) Gardens. So many beautiful roses.

Actually, I plan on making an appointment next week. 10 years just seems like too long, to me.
Especially, since my grandfather on my pops side died from colon cancer, so there's a family history of it.
Although, he's the only relative we know of that's ever had it.

In that particular case the owner of the sight was the one that kinda bored with it and it tanked.

Yep, he kept downgrading it instead of upgrading it.
When I was there the other day, a mod still has to approve every single post.
And, there's only one mod , and he has a life. My posts didn't show up until they were approved by the mod at about 6p the NEXT night.
Ridiculous.

Sorry, I didn't know that . I don't see as well . I now know where I went wrong, it's MUMD. Thanks for correcting me. I don't know if you saw I have macular degeneration. Some days I see, pretty good some days not. I know how important each person's name is. Sometimes the letters just run together. My sincere apologies. Thanks for the correction, it's always good to learn. I forgot, my last name has mun in it.

I've never had good luck with the busses The boats on the other hand I've always been happy with!
