Loved Six Flags AstroWorld and WaterWorld! You missed out in its glory days the 80's/early 90's!
I also have been to the space center a few times when I was younger but never been as an adult and would like to go back. I would love to retire in Celebration, FL (many years from now as I am only 34 well 35 next month lol) but I'm sure we will probably just stay here due to
Family etc and we love it here. Celebration is the cutest community and right next to Disney so that would definately be a dream but who knows! Lol :coldfeet:

Yea, our original plan was to eventually move to Florida and "retire" as WDW CM's. It's just not the "priority" it used to be anymore.
During the down economy, I worked as a Disney Store CM for 4+ years (and, as many as 2 other retail jobs at a time - although TDS was the first I started and the last I walked from) after I was laid off from the architectural firm I worked at for 20+ years, back in Jan. of '09. Fortunately, I've been back with the firm for over 2 years now. I was even a Lead Mgr. at TDS for a year before I stepped down from that position when the firm hired me back full-time. I still worked Friday night and weekend shifts for the discounts for over 7 months beyond that, before I finally walked.
Don't get me wrong, I have sooo very many good memories from being a CM , but, let's just say it can be an "interesting" company to work for sometimes... :cautious: :cyclops:

I don't think I've ever known of a whole family that would run in a race together. That's really great that you're all training and working toward a goal. As for moi, I hate running. I'll walk for miles, ride my bike, etc. but I think running is one of the hardest things to do. I really admire people who can, though. Hubby is running in a local area, 4th of July race (a 5K as well). Running is part of his regular routine as a boxer, so his weekly routines have a side benefit of preparing him for a few races each year. :)

Thanks! :) We've always tried to do as much as we can together as a family. We all have so many good memories from all the times we've shared together over the years, and continue to share!
But, believe me, it'll be no "race"...! ;) We'll all do what we can do...I still wanna' be around to see my grandkiddos...! :D ;) :)

Mine too. I'm having a lot of "medical" testing done right now over what I hope to be a minor issue, but, I have already purchased my plane tickets for Paris in mid October. Paris, Rome, Venice, Barcelona and a trans Atlantic cruise back to Fort Lauderdale. I have been to some of the places on my itinerary, but, that was in 1967. I'm sure a few things have changed since then. For one thing, I won't be spending near as much time in foreign bars.:)

Sincerest prayers that the issue is indeed minor.

You know, just so we can hear about your not near as much time in foreign bars after ya' get back. ;)
