Ridiculous: Everyone is forced to stand now in the Wishes fastpass area.

What is the grass for.. if they wanted everyone to stand why not just use cement? This policy totally irked me.. seriously.. how am i bothering someone if I'm sitting cross legged taking up minimal square footage.

So.. if you fastpass wishes you are forced to stand cramped up like sardines but right outside the fastpass area there are people sitting leaning against the railing who didnt fastpass. Fastpass.. forced to stand.. but if you don't fastpass then u can sit comfy 4 feet away just fine.

Horrible..

Actually no one is supposed to sit during Wishes. Everyone is supposed to stand because lights are lowered and there is risk of being trampled. Plus Disney is going to squeeze as many people into the FP+ area that they can. And as Captain America said previously, Wishes is a total waste of Fastpass+.

I'm actually a fan of that policy. The whole sitting down thing for Wishes, or Illuminations in World Showcase Plaza, causes a lot of problems. From guests taking up a lot of space, to complaints about others who wish to stand and are blocking the view for those who insist on sitting.

The new Plaza Gardens are not very big, and sitting will occupy a lot of that limited space, not to mention the risk of getting stepped on etc.

Ive been guilty of stepping on people that I didn't see. Learned a few new words in Portuguese that way.

I see both sides of the equation here and frankly... if there's no one in there? Fine, sit, spread out. If its an insane night? Nope. It should be a "use your common sense" approach to the situation, rather than a hard and fast policy, IMO.

Any rules on tripods?

I recently used a FP+ for the first time for fireworks (Illuminations) and it wasn't that crowded and people who wanted to sit were in back and ppl standing were towards the front. The cm weren't telling ppl to stand, just to stay off the railings. But as for Wishes yeah I'd never waste a FP+ for that especially in the "new grass" it's cool and all but a pretty tight space and ppl sitting can cause to many issues that don't need to be.

They should have just stopped people from using blankets and spreading out.. and restricting how much space people by not having people lay down etc. Just seems strange that someone can't sit cross legged which takes up no more space than standing.

And the grass.. it obviously was made to sit on.. or they would have used cement if it was just a standing area. This had to be a change due to guests taking advantage by using blankets etc or due to disney trying to oversell the area by distributing more fastpasses than originally intended.. or both.
