Thanks, selling this house has been one problem after another. Even had a snake in the house. I don't do snakes. I had to have my Grandfather come over and shoot it. We think it got in through the dryer vent.

My DWifey absolutely hates snakes. I never tell her when I see one out in the yard 'cause she's absolutely convinced that it'll somehow find it's way into the house. I've accidentally run more than one over with my lawn mower over the years. I never tell her about that either, 'cause even though it's dead, well, there was a snake in the yard... ;) :)

oh no.. they are some sort of, metal frame parts that hold the engine in the correct position on the car.
If one of them fails, the engine would "turn" when the gear is set and the engine tries to move the main lever to accelerate the car.

Sorry for not being very clear. I have no idea what the name of these parts are in english.

anyway the danger right now, is these metal frame thingies to finally give up.. and the engine will do a 90 degree sideways turn and then fall from the car.
Causing irreparable damage.

I also need to replace the metal frames of the front wheels. (to keep the tires straight in a 90 degree angle).
My mechanic says they are very corroded (no surprise.. lots of sea salt in the air)

*edit*
I think these parts are the ones that need to be replaced.

and for the wheels, its the "sway bar link" I think

Yes! What is it with animals and paper? My cat shreds paper too! I can't leave them on my desk anymore because she'll just shred them. I also have paper recycling under there, and we use paper bags from the grocery store to contain the paper. I used to just have the grocery store bag sitting under my desk...until I discovered she was stealing papers out of there and shredding them, leaving bits of paper around my room. I had to get a tall trashcan to put it in so she can't get into it. Nuisance.

Yep, Belle and Ranger are well-known paper shredders, too. :bored:

Update on the freeloading group member:

She sends me this email in response: "No, no you miss understood! It's my dad's schedule, not mine!" And then blah blah blah about all that she's done for the group (yeah, the work I had to fix) and how the professor said everything could be done over email (not that I recall the professor saying this, but we got higher grades when we met). And then my favorite, the guilt trip. "I'm disappointed because I spoke so highly of you to my parents." Oh what carp. Absolute carp.

Have I ever mentioned my hatred of group work? And people?

I can honestly say that after close to 55 years of dealing with, working on and being involved with motor vehicles, I have never heard of that happening even once. Is that a Mexican thing? Color me puzzled!
