Woof.
Finally home and chillin'.
Worked straight through lunch to meet a deadline on 7 plans we're doin' for a new subdivision.
I designed, and CAD'd 'em up, in 7 days. 4 1-story plans, and 3 2-story plans, ranging between 1,700 and 3,600 sq. ft. The good news is, the partner met with the clients this afternoon, and all the plans are goin' straight to construction documents with only minor revisions...!!! :joyfull: :)

*sips some beer...* ;)

I had a feeling you must have been busier lately. Glad you were able to finally plow through a ton of work there and drop in here!

Water repellents such as Rain-X, or Aquapel, work nicely to prevent icy buildup on car windows. The same ingredients in these products that repel rain, will prevent ice from sticking to your windshield. Doing this won't melt the ice away, but will allow you to brush it off easily.

For a homemade solution, add equal amounts of water and vinegar to a spray bottle, and apply to the windows.

Wow. I learn something new here every day! (I wish you had mentioned this a few months ago!! :D )

Really? That's surprising. I live in a one horse hick town out it in the sticks (can you tell I don't like it here) and even here we have A&W just about everywhere.

Different items are popular in different sections of the country. It all depends on the distribution chain and the regions they serve. With A&W (as well as other brands) I know that many of them hook up with Coca Cola distribution, Dr. Pepper/Snapple distribution, and others as well. So it's not just a singular item in many instances; many of these beverage companies hook up under a network. It may have been different many years ago, but now, I believe that's the more common distribution model. With A&W, I've found it's hit or miss in my area; but luckily, I really don't drink soda very often.

So I'm officially not going to Disney this year. I'm not really sad because I'm getting bored of going every year.

Maybe you could find a more economical vacation spot this year. Also, since you've recently started a new job, I realize it's hard to get time away. However, at some point, I'll bet you could get a 4-day weekend. Sometimes, short vacations are just as much fun! :) Then, maybe in a year or so, you could go back to WDW and/or Universal, or even Disneyland in CA. It may give you a whole fresh perspective on the parks, after being away for a year.

Aside of the above, there's so many great places all over the world to take a vacation. It may be that your new work schedule will interfere this year only; but next year and beyond, you have a whole world out there to explore and enjoy!! (Anticipation for any vacation, short or long, is half the fun. ;))

No it isnt. It's funny because I posted that picture not even thinking about it being cold I just thought it was a nice view. I've never been up to Alaska but my kids have visited 4 times. They dont always have snow and they don't live in igloos either. ;)

Last year Anchorage was consistently warmer than Illinois. My friend lived up there many years when her DH was stationed there.

?? Who in the hello-operator has a beet sandwich ?? :hungover:
Up here, beets are generally served as part of a relish tray or as borscht.

Hello, my name is JenniferS.
I am from Canada; where we eat bacon, maple syrup, and poutine. In that order. :joyfull:
Eating a beet sandwich entertains later as well. Pooping red is always an eye opener, especially if you temporarily forget you ate them. :jawdrop:

The people I met with today are coming back on Saturday to do the deal.
It was so weird being back in that trailer after a 10 month absence.

Good thing the Boss mentioned that the potty was no longer there!
Good thing I took my red Solo cup.
Red Solo cup. I fill you up. :hilarious:
You do realize that there is a point when way too much information is released, don't you? :oops:o_O

I think part of the problem is the addiction to nicotine. Add in alcohol to the mix and people just wig. Not condoning it more just understanding the addiction that many dismiss. While other addictions abusers can discretely use smoking isn't one of them. Smoking on an airplane isn't acceptable ever but after seeing others with addiction issues I understand how some of the weakest do stupid things.
Add to that the fact that it wasn't that many years ago when smoking was allowed on airplanes. It was as acceptable as booze to help calm the otherwise nervous flyer. Reality is that it is for the overall health of the passengers, which I agree with, but, back in the day, I don't recall any air disasters cause by smoking. That lady would have been from that era.

Hey stranger! Long time no see! :)
Thanks for remembering me! I've been very busy with life!!!!! So much has gotten in the way! Hopefully things are slowing down. Fingers crossed they will, because I'm planning my next trip! Not until August 2016, but hoping it will be a total blow out. Never too early to start planning! LOL I'm the crazy who starts packing at the 180 day mark!:D

I like how your friends look out for you and I'm sure you look out for them. Your daughter sounds so sweet.
My friends cruise a lot (they are sailing again on the Norwegian Getaway in a month) and are very knowledgable about it. One of the twins is an oncology nurse/hospice supervisor so that put my mind at ease if one of us got ill, she'd know what to do. The other twin has been with her man since 1986 but they can't have kids so have adopted mine.
