We had freezing rain this morning. My car, tucked up all snuggly between the houses wasn't too bad.

Len's truck, parked on the road, was a solid block of ice. He was scraping (and chipping) when I left to drive Adopted Son to work. He was scraping (and chipping) when I got home 20 minutes later.

So far April doesn't feel that much different from March, February, January, or December.
So far, April feels better here. It was in the 70s the past two days. Today it was in the 40s. And rainy. But no freezing rain. Good thing, because I've had it with the ice scraping.

Really horrible allergy season, though. Cannot sit outside for very long. Unless I take a benadryl and fall asleep out there.

Although I'm sure it might be fun to ride around in those little carts, I know I don't want to stay at a resort that I need to commute around. That's what has always stopped me from staying at Fort Wilderness. (I wouldn't camp alone, but I have seen the pix of their little cabins and thought they were sweet.) But it seemed like too much effort, because the property was so large with things spread apart. Since my trips to WDW are usually about 4 days, I try to maximize my time there. I supposed if I stayed over a week, I'd be more willing to try a place like Fort Wilderness. :)
You need to stay two weeks. :geek:

Water repellents such as Rain-X, or Aquapel, work nicely to prevent icy buildup on car windows. The same ingredients in these products that repel rain, will prevent ice from sticking to your windshield. Doing this won't melt the ice away, but will allow you to brush it off easily.

For a homemade solution, add equal amounts of water and vinegar to a spray bottle, and apply to the windows.

Warmer but severe weather is in store for us starting NOW! Oy.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Yup. Or move to Florida. Whichever.

The people I met with today are coming back on Saturday to do the deal.
It was so weird being back in that trailer after a 10 month absence.

Good thing the Boss mentioned that the potty was no longer there!
Good thing I took my red Solo cup.
Red Solo cup. I fill you up. :hilarious:
you really had to do that in a cup? D:

I think the most sad thing is.. despite telling everyone EVERY SINGLE TIME how its a FEDERAL OFFENCE (smoking) yet they have the stupidity of doing it. then crying or doing something dumb like they "didnt know".

I think part of the problem is the addiction to nicotine. Add in alcohol to the mix and people just wig. Not condoning it more just understanding the addiction that many dismiss. While other addictions abusers can discretely use smoking isn't one of them. Smoking on an airplane isn't acceptable ever but after seeing others with addiction issues I understand how some of the weakest do stupid things.

Nova Scotia, yesterday:

Bro #3's in-laws were there for the World Men's Curling Championship.

I know it's not very Canadian to say, but I'm not a huge curling fan.
(Beats soccer though!)
I met the nicest son and father duo from Nova Scotia one year at WDW. My kids and I were in line for Tower of Terror and we met the son and father, a father and daughter from Ireland, and a guy from Philadelphia. The line was long and we all had a blast talking so much so that we said we were all a party when the CM asked how many. That is a nice memory.
