Yeah, this story is as well circulated as the one that purports that $100 bills smell like maple syrup.
So far, I've never had any melt, but by golly, you get a fistful of hundreds and they smell EXACTLY like McDonald's hotcakes and syrup.

If you donate a fistful of Canadian hundreds to me, I'll gladly test that theory.

But I'm taking care of a man tonight who is going to have both lower legs amputated due to his severe peripheral vascular disease because of his smoking. But another cause of this disease is diabetes and although I don't have diabetes, I feel those doughnuts were a step in the wrong direction. I'm paranoid and a hypochondriac when I'm tired.

I think you'll be fine as long as you don't eat two donuts a day everyday for the rest of your life.

Two right then...I think you're fine. You can make up for it by eating a salad for lunch.

I had a great aunt who died of diabetes-related complications long before I was born. She lost both of her legs before she died. My grandmother, her sister, was also diabetic before she died (not of diabetes). So I understand your paranoia (even though in my aunt's case, she would have been fine had she managed her diabetes)

Oooh, I love those days when I'm planning. Some people may be ready to buy concert tickets at the first moment before they sell out, well I do that with Disney resorts I always try on Bay Lake Tower and Beachclub, but those are the two I can never seem to get.

Good luck with AKL, I stayed there twice, and it really is one of my favorites! The one draw back for me is that it's rather far away from most things.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is one our favorite resorts as well. Even though we don't stay there anymore we always visit to see the savanna and eat at Boma.

Wow. I still can't believe that we have more snow than you do in Canada! We've also had melting this week, off and on. However, the back yard still has between 3 1/2 - 4 feet. Streets and sidewalks are getting much clearer now, down to concrete in many areas.

Oh, I hope it's not an expensive repair and can be fixed rather quickly for you.

You just made me realize the one and only benefit of not having a garage: my car will never get locked inside one! (The flip side is that every time it snows, you have to clean off all the snow and ice from the car!!)

Luckily, I bought a new battery in December, and that was one of the smartest things I've done, with the extremely low temperatures we've had over the past 2 months (many times dropping below zero). But that car starts right up with my dandy new battery!! (Since the car was purchased as "used", there was no way to tell how old the battery in it was. As a preventative measure and for my peace of mind, I bought a new battery.)

You're a smart lady for being pro-active on the battery. When we bought our last used motor home, did the same: new batteries, oil changes, new tires (although the tires needed replacing).

Garage was NOT quick (had to wait until Monday afternoon) and WAS expensive. I'm foraging for nuts and berries for meals for at least 6 weeks

I moved from the Ohio River Valley...it was more humid than FL in general.

Thanks...was only off for a couple of days. Weather was so nice, wanted to get out and enjoy it. Plus, got some yard work done and washed the RV...camping next week! I'm trying to catch up with the thread...this is a chatty bunch.

Thank you. With cars, there's not much I know about them or can control. The little I do know about them, I do try to control if I can.

That's too bad that your garage was expensive, but maybe since you put in an investment for a quality job, it will serve you well for many years to come.

My son was asking me about home loans last night and APRs. I told him that part of getting a house is a drag and that the best part is going to the open houses.

At least he is smart enought (no doubt, taught by his smart mother) that its a big part of purchasing a home. Too many people just ask "how much is the payment?" and if they can meet the payment, they buy.
