DHS Disney to Reveal Ambitious Star Wars Plans

Think of how these type of threads will fly along once some type of actual plans are announced.

I remember how the Avatar thread exploded when that was announced and the P&ID plans were "leaked" online. Same goes for when the concept art and promotion video were released from D23 overseas. I can only imagine what Star Wars threads will be like on this site once more concrete information is doled out about these "ambitious" and "cutting-ege" attractions.

I'll be called a doom and gloomer when I predict we'll get a restaurant and meet-n-grope and that's it

Would be hilarious though.

"Yeah, I mean really cheap and half assed. We're talking X-Wing, Tie Fighter spinner because we're still cutting edge in spinner tech and maybe a Chewbaca meet and greet. We know kids love big costumed dogs. Also, a cantina hot dog stand is in the works. I'd say we'll have it done by March, 2021."

*In Shanghai that is...

I think on this one DHS will get something substantial. I'd be very surprised if the park didn't. We'll see. I understand your gloominess, but have hope my friend. I get the vague feeling that the WDW ship is slowly turning around in the right direction. I also get the feeling that EPCOT has fallen off on a lifeboat and is just floating aimlessly in the midst of the big ocean. I do believe the ship has lots of soft serve ice cream to placate our inner child.

Not yet. But there are holes in that lifeboat and Epcot is taking on water…

Of course the studios are spiraling down towards the depths of the ocean.

I believe he said incredibly vague almost completely fact free Variety article in 9 months.
I remember reading an article stating that the Disney executives started to rethink the Star Wars land after visiting and touring Harry Potter land at Universal and how creative it was to guest. It will be interesting to see what they come up with. They have one shot to do it right and they could have their answer to Potter land.

You mean when TDO realized net income went up 30% after WWoHP went online (and UNI execs were 'disappointed' with the result), No worries on getting it right TDO is too cheap to get it right now or ever

I know nothing is concrete at the moment but is this what the most accepted rumors are pointing to? I tried to visualize everything I've read so far.

This is what I am hearing too, this Echo Lake rumor would be interesting. I'd be curious to hear how the transition from Prime time to Star Wars Land would work? Seems like a jolting transition space. Is it even enough space for a show building for an e-ticket on top of Echo Lake

That's why I feel like it'd be better to keep Echo Lake and create a little Dagobah swamp on the Indy side as a thematic border line.

That's exactly what I was thinking either that or possibly a gateway to the new land.

Any idea on Star Tours' exterior? I'd hope that with a new ambitious land that something will be done with that because the movie set theme is sure going to stick out even more if not.

Edit I love the swamp idea.

I am hopeful we get to ask you the following question, "What whine would you like to pair with your crow".

If we got a good mix of Star Wars attractions I would HAPPILY eat crow even served cold, However this is TWDC we are talking about who is now reinvesting less than Six Flags in their P&R business 7.36% for TWDC as opposed to 9% for Six Flags.

So while a nice serving of crow would go well with a Riesling I don't think we need to worry about that meal.
