I'm supposed to be working on Hubby's tax stuff so he can drop it off at the accountant's on his way to work tomorrow.

More than 3 hours invested, and I just found another box of stuff.

I am not having fun!

Hmpf. My DH never helped me with my Tax stuff, heck he never helped me with our tax stuff. By the time I put it all together the Tax Attorney had a cake walk.

That seems like a long time from orientation to starting day. You won't be added to the schedule to shadow somebody?

My DD does all the scheduling for 2 facilities of lifeguards (150 to 175 guards) they use the when to work scheduling program. She scheduled guards for June, July and August. The guard class she just trained then waited a week 'cause she had to manually plug each one in for each shift that was unassigned and they could not be added until they completed their new hire paperwork and completed their facility orientation that also included a couple of videos. This way if the new hire does something stupid they can't claim they were not trained to do it correctly.

The 27 new hires she trained took 15 hours for for her to manually plug into when to work for 3 months. If it was only for 2 weeks before she published a new schedule they would have waited until then to work. During the winter she only schedules one month out and generally new hires start with the new month.

She put 16 new guards up on stands at the Water Park on Monday afternoon and brought in 2 higher management people to be with her to watch them and low and behold that is when the outside auditor decided to do their unannounced monthly audit.

Don't bring logic into a thread about nonsense. :p

My personal favorite is, "Does anyone else think that..." Do you honestly think that your thoughts are SO original that you would be the ONLY person EVER in the history of this forum to think that particular thought??! :banghead:
The most common one is "has anyone else thought that it might save some money to park at DTD and ride the bus in or we can just park at the Contemporary and walk over".
