Most Annoying Guest Behavior

Heard a lot about line cutters, South Americans, rudeness etc etc but the single most annoying thing I've observed is people taking photos in dark rides.

I wish it was policed sooooo much more and examples were made of people. What gets me is in a really dark room, how good is that picture going to be?!? It grinds my gear like nothing else.

For some strange reason, it never happens in THM...

Anyway, I've vented, I'm sure there are other things... Please list so we can get past this together.

People cutting lines just because they have kids and think their entitled to stand in front of somebody without a kid.

Dark ride photos YES I was on Haunted Mansion where you see Floating Leota and The person directly Across from me must have taken at least 45 pictures just in that part I literally almost tripped getting out of the buggy because my eyes were so spotty. I can say I have only had to deal with line cutters one time on Soaring where a man edged his way up then let his family come up too until a gentlemen told him he best not cut in front of him or ELSE. I would also say getting hit with strollers and wheel chairs. I am not saying when some one walks in front of one and gets hit because they didn't give the stroller/wc enough room I am saying after walking in front of one they don't stop and jam into your leg then look at you like its your fault. I had to leave HS after being hit with a wheel chair my foot on the back was so deep I couldn't walk for 3/4 days . It instantly started gushing blood as soon as if happened the CM seen it and told me it was rude they didn't apologize and I was thinking yeah why didn't you tell her that!

People pushing in front of me whilst waiting for the parade. Any day I will let a child stand or sit in front of me if I see that they're at the back but don't presume because you're poorly organised I should have to let you all hop in front.

Being from England I should add queuing in general. We sure know how to line up in a polite, ordered way. Sadly many other nations don't! (I'm not naming them all as it's unfair to generalise)

My biggest pet peeves occur during the summer:

1. It is NOT ok to take a dip in the pool at any point of the day and consider that a shower!
2. When it is 100 degrees and the parks are beyond crowded - people who insist on poor personal hygiene.

Others include..

1. The endless photos on Haunted Mansion - after one try they should realize they will not capture anything.

A group or family walking towards me and they are all spread out on the pathway. They think they have the right to take up every section. Well, I don't move over but stop on my side and make them walk around me.
And then there are the people walking and looking at their phone (probably checking/changing fastpasses) and they are oblivious to where they are walking.

Sounds very Canadian to me!! Guess that's one characteristic we inherited from the mother country.

I was at Target last year on Boxing Day before it opened and everyone stayed in a nice orderly line. We all seemed to be thinking "we'll all get in eventually...no need to push!"

The guy who assualted people with a stick last year at Epcot just as we were arriving was the worst I've known. Luckily he'd just been subdued by another guest who took him down in seconds as we got there, nothing quite compares to that and was very 'undisneylike'. Following that I hate people who just stop in front of you unexpectedly when walking for no apparent reason. I struggle walking sometimes due to dystonia and having to suddenly stop or change direction because a person in front has just stopped dead is very difficult for me.

I absolutely LOVE everything WDW but I admit there are a few things that tick me off:

-when one member of a family holds a spot in line, and then five siblings, two parents, and eight cousins cut in with that person right when he/she gets to the front of the line;
-poor personal hygiene in any circumstance (and this includes folks who coat themselves in four cans of body spray or drink so much perfume that it excretes from their pores);
-people (usually cranky moms) who show up a half hour late for dining reservations and get irritated because they need to wait a few minutes for the staff to squeeze them in;
-people who leave garbage on the buses or in public places (benches, beach loungers) just because they're too lazy to carry it to a trash can;
-people (usually men) who smoke outside of the designated smoking areas (and on that note, there's nothing worse than accidentally walking through a smoking area and getting a cloud of secondhand smoke blown directly in your path);
-as above, people who take 15,000 flash photos on dark rides;
-people who are oblivious to the custom of washing one's hands after using the washroom - GROSS!!!!!!;
-CMs at the WP who are less than educated in their own country's history (I've experienced this twice in Canada. Once, a female CM told a lady beside me that Canada has 12 provinces. It took all of my strength not to correct her.);
-people who constantly "ooooh" and "aaaah" during the fireworks, especially Wishes; and
-CMs who look at me like I'm from Mars when I ask for milk for my coffee. Maybe it's un-American or something, but cream in my coffee is just disgusting.

That's all I can think of for now! If I could somehow eliminate those annoyances, my WDW experience would be 100% perfect every time.

Trust me, you're not the only person annoyed by this phenomenon. I really don't understand how people can be so oblivious to and inconsiderate of the people around (and behind) them.

Lol! I expect myself and the oldest will be guilty of that when we visit. We're habitual "oblivious walkers". There's just too much going on to pay attention to walking. In the past the BF has grabbed us just to stop us from colliding into objects, other walkers, cars, doors that don't open, etc. We're easily distracted and there's just so much information to process that walking just gets put on autopilot. The boy's spectrum AND 15, but I've never been diagnosed anything.
I do apologize profusely when I do collide with someone (I haven't collided with anyone in awhile, so maybe I'm getting better?).

ETA:
I loathe people who cut in line though, or people that make messes in shops. That's a particular couple of peeves from my days in retail. It's not your stuff, you haven't paid for it yet, so why do you think you can trash it and left your kids wreck the place?

Couldn't agree with you more!! I worked retail for a long time both full time and as second/third jobs and those people made me want to go on a murderous rampage on busy days.

I totally agree with this, I used to move aside for them, now I keep walking toward them too. If they hit me they hit me, but usually one of them will move.

I also hate people you leave their garbage and people who stop suddenly in a walkway to take a picture or stop right at the exit of a ride.

Pop Warner football teams and the dance/cheerleading squads that invade the parks. The adult chaperones don't know where they are or what they did when they are not competing. These banshees run thru the parks knock people over and basically take no prisoners as they think they own the place.

My Anglo ancestry must kick in at Disney because I do the very same thing. Always makes for interesting conversations back in the room and on the trip home.

People that leave their morning newspapers, empty coffee cups, and spilled Cheerios all over my bus. It's amazing that only seems to happen at three resorts in particular. If I wanted to clean up after you, I would work in Mousekeeping, not transportation.

You must have been there the first week of January because that is exactly where and what happened to us.

People who think its OK to 'rejoin their family' in a ride queue. However you look at it it's line jumping.
- Would it be wrong to block the path and pretend you don't speak their language? Or point out (politely) that the queue begins at the end and not at some point forward? To be honest, I found California to be far worse for this that Florida - where it's still an issue.

People holding iPad's in the air taking rubbish photos or videos. They're not coming out properly no matter how many times you try. If you want good photos then use a proper camera.

People who have contracted happy clappy syndrome. i.e. they feel the need to whoop and clap at everything.

Japanese/Chinese Paparazzi - Do they really need to film and photograph absolutely everything?
Best incident - once I saw a girl filming her Coke cup while waiting for food to be delivered, next the cup was being hand rotated so it could be filmed from every angle. No it wasn't out of boredom, the couple had only arrived 2 minutes previously after filming at microscopic level the entire premises. I won't mention what happen when the food actually arrived. If it had been some type of signature restaurant then I would maybe have thought so much about it....except it was a run of the mill counter service outlet.
