Pick the Signature

I'm looking to do 2-4 signatures for our next trip (assuming it doesn't fall through), which will hopefully be a kid free belated anniversary celebration trip. I truly doubt we'd be doing DDP, so there are no limits on where or what aside from personal preferences. I want one Epcot area, one MK area, and the wild cards would depend on time and budget. This is what I've narrowed it down to for one reason or another (I'll spare you the novel ;))...

In the Epcot area, we're looking at Yachstman, Flying Fish, and Bluezoo
In MK area, we're considering Cali Grill, Citrico's, and V&A
And for the wild card, any of the above options + Jiko and Fulton's

I know something like V&A seems like the no brainer for the MK area, and I do really want to try that, but it also has its pros and cons. Maybe you guys could help me narrow it down :)

Very good choice of signatures. I would recommend Flying Fish, California Grill, Citrico's and don't overlook Narcooosee's. Jiko is WONDERFUL!!!!!! Haven't been to Fulton's in many years so I cannot give you my opinion. Artist Point in the WL can be very romantic. Out of all your choices, Jiko was my favorite....wonderful
ambiance and wonderful food. Enjoy! :cat:

In the Parks
No
Id pick Yachtsman over Flying Fish (both have always been great however)
We love Narcoossee, but again, Citricos, and Cali Grill have never disappointed either (I just like Narcoossee better) I can't say about V and A though since we haven't been there (just mad our ADR this morning for it this July)
I know its not listed, but Artist Point is excellent too!

Epcot - I would go with Yachtsman Steak House/Crew's Cup I have never had a bad meal or service at either.
Flying Fish would be my second choice
BlueZoo is nice but we consider it a nightspot and prefer to go for drinks and heavy apps

Magic Kingdom - Go for California Grill the menu and views are spectacular
Victoria & Alberts is my second choice i figure if you want kid free dining and are going to be paying out of pocket you might as well go big verses Citrico's plus if you want Italian you may want to consider Il Mulino (Swan)

Wild Card - May I suggest Artist Point (WL), Il Mulino (Swan), The Wave (CR)
Otherwise go with your other choices like Flying Fish, Fulton's, or Jiko

Not knowing your food preferences here are my favorites from that list:

In the Epcot area: Bluezoo - seafood buffet sounds pretty good. Plus it's owned by Todd English *swoons*
In MK area: Cali Grill - the new sushis at CG seems to be a hit with patrons, I can't wait to try those next trip!
And for the wild card: Jiko - I really want to try this restaurant sometime, the menu is quite extensive and different.

I don't care for V&A rapid changing menu and haute cuisine, not my really my thing.

I would also love to check out V&A but have to always stick with Cali Grill!! And I'd go Flying Fish in your Epcot list. Those are the two signatures that we hit the most and are never let down.
And I just realized I don't think I ever finished your last TR and I always enjoy them! I better get on that. :)

Just starting to go to sigs, did Yachtsmans last trip and have decided (OK DW decided) on Citrico's next month. Yachts was awesome, looking forward to more, have a great trip!

dh and i love fulton's. it's always been a must-eat since we ended up there one day because it was the only place we could get into. the bisque is amazing. however, if we were on the ddp, i don't think i'd spend two TS on it; we'd go OOP.

I've been wanting to try Narcoosee's, but for whatever reason, the menu just doesn't appeal to DH. I'm thinking I may be able to twist his arm if we return with the kids & my parents...possibly time it around fireworks. Just thinking he may be more willing to go along with it in a crowd. I love the menu at Artist Point, but a lot of the reviews have scared me off. Still, it would be a nice choice as our last big vacay before having the kids was Yellowstone & Grand Teton and the restaurant seems to take a lot of inspiration from that area. Can't wait to see your write up on V&A!

If you can swing V&A, do it. It's a whole other level. :)

I'd really like to try it. I'm afraid DH might balk at the dress code, but I seriously think he can put on a jacket for a few hours to experience something like this. Key words...I think. ;)

I would like to pop into Cali Grill, I just know DH is skeptical since he wasn't happy with his entrée on our last visit. Still- it's just such an awesome view up there. I think it may have been one of your TRs that made me look at Flying Fish. The crab cakes and the potato crusted snappy just look sooooooo good!

Thanks! I really appreciate everyone reading :) I'm just hoping next trip has a lot less drama- well, at least the bad kind.

I would go with Yachtsman, Citrico's, and Fulton's. But you really can't go wrong with any of the choices, just broke.

yeah- it's the 'broke' part that has me really weighing my options. I guess at least I don't have to worry about paying for the kids this trip :D

You must mean this crab cake photo! I love this appetizer so much, one of favorites in all of WDW. My last visit in August I had this, of course, and tried a Thunder fish special and it was amazing! I am also just a huge fan of the Boardwalk.

Well, that just looks DIVINE!!! I haven't made a final decision on resort yet, but Boardwalk is definitely in the mix of top contenders.

Magic Kingdom- for your kid free trip try to do V&A. Haven't been in ten years, but it was awesome (although a very long meal). We just booked it for out next trip. I agree about California Grill. We went in October and my husbands entree was pretty disappointing. The waitress even took it off our menu without us asking.

EPCOT- Yachtsman was very good the one time we at there, We also enjoy Le Cellier. We love the cheese soup.

Jiko- We always enjoy this place. Great food and atmosphere.

Hollywood Brown Derby- we like to eat lunch here. Especially when the F&W festival or such has food offerings. We have a Cobb Salad at lunch and start eating and drinking in EPCOT early evening.
