@englanddg - if you pass the airport to turn around and the plane flies over, I'll wave to you! I hope you two have a wonderful trip!!
There is a small crop-duster type plane that frequently flies over my house. One day I waved and it dipped its wing. Now every time I'm out when it goes by, I wave and he dips. It's kind of cool. To a dork like me.

Planes fly that low he can see you wave? Is that safe?
we can see the pilot's faces and often the passengers' too....
Wow. I've only flown once, and the airport I live near doesn't see much action... learn something new every day!

When my kids were in our local elementary school we were trying to raise $$ for a new playground. I stood at the front door of the school and took pictures of the Southwest planes landing (basically just across the street). I sent them to SW with a letter explaining our plight and within a week I had 2 roundtrip ticket vouchers for anywhere they fly which we were able to raffle off for $5 per ticket. we raised enough money with that to build the playground, and the tickets were won by a very worthy family, so it was a win/win!

I don't think that one goes to OIA, lol. The big ones don't fly low. It's just this really tiny plane. It's out almost every day. I have no idea why, where it goes or whatever.Planes fly that low he can see you wave? Is that safe?
