With a 3.5 year old? She knows that's the "princess castle" but I don't know if would really click.

Thinking maybe akershus and the Cindy's when she's a bit older? Thought?

My daughter & I have eaten at Princess Storybook for breakfast & dinner, but not lunch - we prefer dinner.
We have also eaten at CRT several times for breakfast - it was a wonderful experience each time.
I would definitely recommend either restaurant - but it may be easier to get a reservation at Princess Storybook.
Each time we ate at Princess Storybook we got lucky & saw Cinderella!

Keep Moving Forward
We took out almost 3 yo to the castle and she loved it! They keep things moving along there is the the wishing ceremony and then the 4 princesses coming around during the meal. No time to get bored. My daughter knew who the princesses where from some princess board books we had even though she hadn't seen the movies yet.

We've eaten breakfast and lunch at both, and we enjoyed both...but my DD says the castle was always her favorite...her first visit was at 3 years old and the most recent was at 18 years old.

We have done all three meals at both venues...starting when our girls were ages 2 and 4. They are now 4.5 and nearly 7...and if given the choice, they will always choose the Castle. Ultimately, I tend to like the lunch and dinner food a bit better at Akershus and the meals are a smidge cheaper there, but even my tomboy gushes over being in the castle.

I would do Cinderella's b/c of the menu at Akerhaus. For lunch and dinner, it is super "unique".

We still hit CRT every trip, but for breakfast only!! If $$ is any issue, go for Askerhaus as it is a very nice character experience!!

And....don't blink; M & M are both in college now and it was only last year they were 3.5 year old princesses

DON'T BLINK!

Lol! I won't! It seems like yesterday she was born!

Thanks everyone! You've given me stuff to think about(for the next 5 months before making ADR's)

I don't really know who their "regulars" are supposed to be, other than Belle of course. We've had Mary the past few times. But then we've also been surprised with Cinderella and Mulan who I thought weren't supposed to be there.

Interesting. We skipped it last year...I've thought about doing it again this year (I like the buffet)...

Well it depends IMHO, If you could afford to schedule a stop at the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique beforehand Cindy's that would be a deciding factor, a special dress up occasion before meeting the princesses that would be hard to top for a memorable experience.

As far as the layout of the dining area, Cindy's is more interesting since you enter in through the reception area where you meet and have your picture taken with Cindy, wait for your party to be formally announced before you either climb the circular staircase or ride the elevator to the top, and then enter into the multilevel dining hall festooned with banners. Each Princess' entrance to the area is announced and everyone has a good view as they enter into the hall and begin their rounds.

Akershus on the other hand is set up in a one story flat multi room layout with centralized buffet for appetizers.

The food in general at Cindy's has become more reheated generic Meh and downright strange since 2004 while the Akershus is more expansive and covers most tastes.
