Yes. They are making the 12 minute show into an 8 minute show.
They are just cutting scenes; they are not actually improving the quality one bit.

I was there on Wednesday after a small downpour and the canopies that hang over the queue were leaking pretty badly, they all had small holes in them and were pouring down right next to guests, so I don't think it was by design. The manager on duty was taking photos of it with his work phone, so, maybe this is something that is being fixed as well. I took a photo:

Editing that show might actually be an improvement. I am a big Captain Jack fan, but that show just seemed to drag on and on.

Quite awkward. While I am sure there is an example to the contrary, audience participation as a whole always feels awkward and contrived.

The audience participation with Turtle Talk and Laugh Floor I think works well. That's about the only examples where I think it is good and it illustrates the importance of the "type" of the interaction.
