They're the same thing, but I've always liked going left instead of right for some reason, despite knowing they're the same.

Was there when it opened. Rode both tracks since. They were both fun. No consensus as to which track is better. 1976 6th grade school trip to Disney world. No adults. Our group ran through the middle of a parade,no lines for SM, and rode that mountain like a kigillion times in a row. We were 11.Now that same rides beats me up after one time. Never could tell which one is better.it would be cool to be 11 again just to be able to do that one more time. SM ROPE DROP # 1 !!!

Both sides beat me up. Getting to old
It's not you. My daughter is 17 and space has always been one of her favorite rides, but a couple weeks ago when she and her boyfriend rode it, they both came off in pain. I don't think it'll be the first thing she runs to our next trip. I'm not sure what the difference was since she rode it in September many times with no problem.

Do you remember when they put two people in the seat leaning one behind the other? Like you sat with someone I between your legs or your butt sat in between someone else's. Preferably your friend. Either you banged your head or your teeth.

My mom and her friend went after graduating high school. Her friend sat in front of. Her. My moms friend peed herself getting it on the both of them. Last time my mom went on Space Mountain. True story

I rode it in December (I don't know which side. It's was the less crowded one. My mom is handicapped) and I didn't realize how rough it was until I got on the ride. I'm not the type of person that is wimpy on those types of rides, but I felt like my head was going to hit the track and I felt motion sick afterwards.

Since they are identical there shouldn't be any difference, right? But there is. The left one, because of the types of turns it takes and the direction tends to increase motion sickness over the one on the right. For all intents and purposes, they are just mirror images of each other, should be exactly the same. But the experience is not.

Even if they're the same, they feel completely different. The right is sooo much better. The drop feels longer. The left seems much less tame and not nearly as much fun. I always ask to go on the right side.
