Update. Just getting back from downtown. Cast members have the entire pool area blocked off. Not only the pool but the walkways to it. They're standing there making sure nobody is to get by. There's a circle of about 5 to 8 what seem to be big wigs standing at the edge of the pool talking.

They're most likely attempting to reconstruct the events that led up to the guest being found in the pool.

This had to happen after hours. I just posted on a thread how well I thought the lifeguards did thier job. There is no way this happened while lifeguards were on duty. These young people were very skilled and trained at what they do.I sat and watched the life guards for about two hours and was very impressed. That said, I have seen many kids swiming after hours by themselves with no supervision at all....what a shame. My observations took place at POP also....I wouldnt jump to conclusions here.

I can't comment on whether lifeguards were present as I don't know when they leave. I think it may well be 7 or 8 p.m.

But at a resort of that size, during Spring Break, I do know there had to be plenty of folks around. If I think someone is in trouble I get their head above water and ask questions. ... Again, not knowing details, I don't wish to speculate.

Word from a friend with a source at the hospital is not good and that the child was basically dead when brought in.

Considering the time of the incident (9-9:30), one wonders whether anyone out there was actually paying attention. This was during open hours ... not like 2:45 a.m.

Well, the original source of this story (@Kramerica) is posting in the other thread that the area is completely closed off and several "Big Wigs" (his words, not mine) are inside that perimeter discussing things.

Based on my experience, the description sounds like a normal investigation of reconstructing the events that led up to the guest being found that way.

Which pool are we referring to? And do you happen to know if any lifeguards were on duty at the time?

I have a better question why was a 13 year old by themselves. Im sry my daughter is 13 and in no way will she be allowed at the pool byherself. To much to go wrong.

Im praying for the family and boy. I pray for a speedy recovery. Im honestly not trying to nick pick or be ugly, but in my eyes its a serious question

Bad parenting, IMO. Do you recall the Fort Wilderness bus hitting the kid back in 2010? Sad.
