MK The Enchanted Forest is an attraction?

I was at the Grand Floridian looking at one of the new Fantasyland brochures and it has the Enchanted Forest listed as an attraction. Did anyone else see this?

What a clever job by marketing.....maybe they need to make up attractions since there isn't much substance to begin with?!

Was it a full park brochure or just New Fantasyland? If it's the latter, I can totally understand marketing ”Come explore the forest!” If it's on the park map... *shudder*

maybe it's just like Animal Kingdom has Flights of Wonder listed as an attraction but it's a walkthrough.

so they have the Forest general area, but there's a walkthrough exploration trail/garden/play area you can explore?

Actually, I kind of see Enchanted Forest as an attraction for my family.

I really am looking forward to seeing how "forested" it ends up being. What I HOPE ends up happening is that it becomes a quiet and very relaxing and magical place in some respect...with lots of shade and places to sit and people watch.

There's a thing that happens on every trip my family takes where my husband, son, and daughter all want to go on the "scary mountain rides"...Space, Splash, Big Thunder. Those are NOT for me at all...and my niece and nephew are still too little for those rides, so if they are with us on a trip then the three of us will hang out somewhere for some quiet time or a snack while the three "adventurers" go off to the "mountains".

Normally, we have this quiet time in Frontierland and find a place where there aren't a lot of people but there are a lot of shade trees...or we go to Tomorrowland and try to find some shade by a building (since large stretches of Tomorrowland often seem deserted to us). But Tomorrowland just looks so junky and depressing to me in places that I don't like being in there too much.

I am really looking forward to having a new area with lots of trees and shade like the Enchanted Forest. I can go there and have a nice place to wait to meet up with the rest of my family. The way I am picturing it, I can take my niece and nephew and maybe do some of the smaller attractions there while the "adventurers" do the scarier rides...and we can have a little snack or just take a breather and maybe wait there for a Be Our Guest dinner reservation. And then the "adventurers" can rejoin us in Enchanted Forest and then we'll all have dinner together. That would be a lot of fun.

So, the Enchanted Forest seems like it will shift some of my behavior in the parks...and will take me away from Frontierland to find my shade and quiet/resting places in a new spot of the park. Previously, i don't think my family spent all that much time in Fantasyland because we'd just go from attraction to attraction and wouldn't linger there. Truth be told, there never were many places to LINGER there for us...and I never felt like there was a nice place to sit in any shade.

If there are a lot of trees and quiet little nooks and crannies then Enchanted Forest could be a dream come true for my family and so to me at least it would indeed be an attraction.

If that is the current definition of an attraction, we have several Disney-level attractions every few blocks where I live. And I don't even need to pay admission. We call them parks and they are just magical. One might even say "a dream come true" if one were prone to hyperbole or marketing.

I think the Tangled-themed restrooms are attractive...but not an attraction. They certainly will be lovely though.

But I don't think there is enough there in that area to draw people over there for long periods of time. It sure is a nice pitstop for folks wanting to take a quick break before experiencing the magic of Fantasyland or alternatively resting up for a quick minute before heading into Liberty Square. Might be an ideal place to wash hands after having some sugary treats or munching on savory turkey legs in Fantasyland before heading over to Haunted Mansion and all its spookiness!

I think the Tangled area will be quite charming...more so when the new Peter Pan queue is finished and if we get the new It's A Small World queue I've heard rumors about.

But I don't think this new restrooms area will be an attraction...just a happy and delightful rest stop that was much needed in that part of the park.

You are going to be disappointed. It is extremely busy, and every square inch is occupied - there are no nooks or crannies. There are no quiet areas with any shade. The remainder of what is to come will be an active coaster area.

I am looking at a park map a friend of mine gave me at work 3 days ago. She picked it up on her recent 10 day trip, but I'm not sure if it's a month old, 2 weeks old, etc. (I see it does show 'Celebrate the Magic', so it can't be too old.) Anyway, it shows 'New' attractions #26, #27 and #28, as Enchanted Tales with Belle, Under the Sea-Journey of the Little Mermaid and Ariel's Grotto respectively. Below that, under Dining, are 'T' and 'U', Be Our Guest Restaurant and Gaston's Tavern. Nowhere on it can I find the 'Fantasyland Forest' or 'Enchanted Forest' listed.

DAK has far too many attractions then.

Actually, DAK has a lot of interesting small "diversions". I think (just a guess) that when WDI designed DAK they were trying for something other than a traditional amusement park, something more akin to the World Showcase at Epcot. DAK has many modest forms of entertainment that are interesting. At DAK, the intention was to have people stop and smell the roses.

Unfortunately, WDW's prices don't encourage this. For what people pay, they try to cram in as many of the super headliners as possible, knowing it could be years before they can afford another WDW vacation.

Maybe at one point WDW had plans to turn parts of it into something more by adding something to the equivalent of street entertainment but, in its current configuration, I don't see how that's possible.

If Drew said he saw it somewhere, I believe him, but as I posted above, my guidemap from November doesn't mention it at all.

I was at the Grand Flo yesterday and grabbed that brochure. I originally grabbed it because I thought it was a guide map of the MK, but quickly realized it was a brochure about the FLE and no other land.

It does appear they are selling this as an entire attraction and probably will until 7DMT is finished.
