How would you spend 6 days in the parks.

I have just booked my familys trip in April 10-17 (yay so excited). I have 6 days to spend in the parks (but I want to spend them in the four main parks not water parks). I could really use some advice on what you would do, it would really be helpful. Thanks :)

Day 1: MK
Day 2: Epcot
Day 3: DHS
Day 4: MK
Day 5: DAK
Day 6: Whichever park you want to visit one more time.

Be at the park 10-15 minutes before opening. Lines are the shortest first thing in the morning. When you arrive, be sure to immediately get a Fast Pass (FP) for Space Mountain or Peter Pan (MK), Soarin' or Test Track (Epcot), Toy Story Mania (DHS), and Expedition Everest or Kilimanjaro Safaris (DAK). Whichever one you get a FP for, then go and ride the other one immediately after picking up your FP. At DHS, go ride Tower of Terror and Rock n' Roller Coaster after getting your Toy Story Mania FP. This approach will make sure that you ride the attractions with the longest lines before the lines get too long.

Don't worry about evening Extra Magic Hours (EMH). In fact, I suggest you avoid them. They sound like a great idea but parks with evening EMH are always more crowded. After thinking they were great the first few years, we now avoid them like the plague.

Don't be afraid to take a break after lunch, if you feel like it. Return to your hotel, swim in the pool, relax in the room, or take a shower. Once you've rejuvenated, head back to the park for the night time activities.

I am a hug MK fan so I would do MK 2 days, HS 1 day, Epcot 2 days, and AK 1 day(get there early for safari)

That is exactly how we do it and we start with MK and usually end with MK.. and Epcot always gets 2 days at least for me, but my daughter will sometimes only do 1 day at Epcot and do 2 at either AK or HS with the kids since they find Epcot kind of boring after a couple of ride...they haven't gotten to the age yet where eating and drinking around the world showcase is fun..:p

Overwhelmingly, MK is the favorite theme park for most people. See the following thread:

http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/whats-your-favorite-orlando-theme-park.854763/

MK has by far the most attractions and requires the most time to completely tour.

The reason I suggested the 6-day plan that I did is because it gives you the option to visit MK on the last day, if you want. If I were you, I'd leave the last day open and go to whatever theme park you most want to on the last day. Don't be afraid to go back to the MK for a third day if this is what you want.

Why not get the park hopper? I know everyone is different but it's very hard for me to stay in 1 park all day, I get bored.
A 6-day base ticket is $278, a 6-day hopper is $335. Multiply the difference by a party of 4 and that's $224, with taxes, that's close to $240. For that kind of money, I understand why people pass on the hoppers.

P.S. We think Park Hoppers are great.

P.P.S. I remember when $240 could buy four 6-day park hoppers with no expiration tickets.

We do 2 MK, 2 Epcot, 1 AK and 1 DHS. For us Epcot is definitely a 2 day park. MK is the ride park, so that is easily 2 days. We spend the full day at AK(it's great after the parade when everyone leaves), but get there early for the Safari then slow down and enjoy it. We also spend the full day at DHS, but could rush through there quicker if we really wanted to. We don't do hoppers and there is no need to if you plan to spend a full day in each park. With kids of that age, try to use the evening Extra Magic Hours to your advantage if you are staying on-site. Avoid the Early EMH, though.

No Park Hopper: 2/3 days at MK, 1/2 day(s) at Epcot, 1 day at DHS, 1 day at AK

With Park Hopper: 3 trips to MK, 2/3 trips to Epcot, 2 trips to DHS, 1 trip to AK

MK for sure has to be two days, there's so much to do and it's the best park at WDW. Epcot is fun, but if you aren't into countries you may not want to go more than once. DHS can be done in one day, as well as AK. If you have time I'd go to DTD and explore a little also.

Are you staying on property? I'm going to assume that you. If that is the case, I would go with the following:

April 10 - assuming travel
April 11 - MK - EMH in the a.m. and open until 10 p.m. I always like starting the trip at MK as well. Feels so magical!
April 12 - Epcot - EMH in the evening - love Epcot on the 2nd day b/c its our 2nd fave!!
April 13 - DHS - EMH in the a.m.
April 14 - MK as EMH in the evening and personally I will do this. But that is also b/c MK is my fave. So with your family, you might want to pick another park this day that works better for the group.
April 15 - AK - EMH in the a.m. and open until 7 pm. You will only need to come to this park once since you can do it in one day.
April 16 - MK - always end the trip at MK
April 17 - assuming travel

We normally do either a six or seven days w/ a park hopper. We have tendency to go to MK first and then both MK and HS on the last day. My wife has gotta drop one last time. Otherwise we spend one day at each park and then hop to other parks for dinner or special events.

This is what we will most likely be doing with a few minor changes. Thanks!
