Epcot 30 Illuminations?

Anyone have any insight into the Illuminations show for Epcot's 30th anniversary? If they do a special show, will it be Sept 30 (day of D23 event) or Oct 1? I know they had a special tag at the end for the 25th, hope they do something similar this go around.

Agree would sure be nice, but wouldnt count on it. I think we would have heard by now. The fall mickey monitor newsletter for passholders had a page about Epcots 30th but no mention of any special Illuminations tag or anything else, beyond pins.

Cool thanks. From doing some Google searching, the 25th tag wasn't announced until late September, so I'm not surprised there isn't much public yet. I missed the 25th but am looking forward to making it down there for the 30th...

I mean, why would they want to promote something far enough in advance so people could plan a trip down?

I wasn't planning on being there, but it just happened that pretty much the only time in the entire month of October my wife and I can do our no kids Food and Wine trip is then...so, we DO get to be there!!!

And I hope the 30th tag is more impressive than the overhyped 25th one was ... but not counting on it.

I would very much hope not and have asked a few people who might know, but they don't (or ain't talking).

I would also hope the pouring rain we had on 10/1/07 doesn't make a repeat either.

I doubt it'll be public until the day or soon before, but there will be a tag and it'll be different to the 25th. It has been written and is being produced as we speak.

Or at least if it does rain, it stops within seconds of Illuminations beginning like it did in 2007. It was like a small miracle illuminations didnt get cancelled. what a night that was.
