MNSSHP Mickey and Minnie

Hi all,

Quick question. The character meet and greets are long at the parties so I am expecting to wait in line. Question about the new fast pass to see Mickey and Minnie. Are they going to be in Halloween costumes in the evening and will you still be able to use FP to see them? Or are they going to be in a different location for the party.

Also, is there a list of who you can meet?

Thanks!

Yes, Mickey and Minnie will be available for photos in the Main Street Theater. I don't remember if they were using fastpass during the party, though.

Last year, you could meet the following characters:

Pumpkin Duffy
Rapunzel and Flynn Rider (after much drama about whether or not he'd be there)
Jack Sparrow (looooong lines)
The 7 Dwarfs (even longer lines)
The Pooh gang in costumes
Mad Hatter
Gaston
Ariel and Eric
Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, and Abu (in rotating groups of 2)
Tarzan and Mary Jane
Stitch
Jafar
Maleficent, Evil Queen, Dr. Facilier, Queen of Hearts after the Villain Mix 'n Mingle
Goofy
Pluto
Chip and Dale

There were also princesses and princes. I just don't remember which ones.

Thanks! The last time we went was 2007. And we didn't focus on characters but doing the rides b.c we were not at WDW for long. This time, I want to meet a lot of the characters. I appreciate the info! :) So the Villain Mix and Mingle? That is like a dance thingy and then the characters get in a line to meet? I really want to see the 7 dwarfs!!!

The Villian thing is a show on the castle stage. Very upbeat, dance/rock type music. I like it. After the show, some of the Villians come down to do M&G, but they don't stay long. If you want a pic, be right up there to get in line!

If you want to spend the least amount of time in line for the 7 dwarves, watch the boards. They generally start at 7:00 and it is best to be in line by 6:15. The 7D lines are long!! But it is a cool pic. :)

Mickey and Minnie will certainly be somewhere and wearing costumes.

Try to see the headless horseman. He's the best part, IMO.

Cool! Where do you see the Headless Horsemen? I think I remember seeing him in the parade right? Thanks for the Villian info! Where do the 7 dwarfs usually line up?

The 7D were over by Splash last year. I don't know where they'll be this year.

Headless Horseman rides before the parade, weather permitting. :)

The 7 Dwarfs meet across from Splash, unless they change it this year. As someone else said, line up EARLY unless you want to waste at least an hour of the party waiting. I got in line at 6:30 last year and they came out promptly at 7. We were done with them by 7:20.

The Villain Mix 'n Mingle is held like 4 times during the night. The last one is always the least crowded. The villains don't really stay to mingle very long- I think it's 15 minutes. If you want to meet Maleficent you need to position yourself on the far left side of the castle if you are facing it. That's where she'll be. Her line is by far the longest and the first one to get cut off. It actually forms before the show.

The Headless Horseman starts the parade but (sadly) no longer gallops. He just trots.

They should still be in their current location. They should be in costume, but it may vary. I believe people reported seeing them in their Halloween costumes, as well as their costumes from the Pirate and Princess party from a few years back, during the same night.

As far as a listing, the list posted is pretty reasonable of what to expect. But for this years parties, Drew will usually report any changes prior to the first party happening. And after the first party happens, the character watcher blogs will usually post full reports with photos and where each one was available. Those will be your best guides.

I'm so looking forward to this event!! we did MVMCP last year and unfortunately we went on a night it was SOLD OUT. It was packed and it was COLD!! Probably in the 40's and I made the mistake of wearing flip flops!! We're going to the Sunday 9/30 party. It's the day after the Tower of Terror 10 Miler and the opening weekend of F&W festival so I hope it's not too crowded. We're all about the characters and probably won't ride a thing.

You have to ride HM. And make sure to check out the special photopass opportunities they have setup in the queue and nearby. But other than that, yeah skip em all......

Mickey and Minnie no longer wear costumes. They only wear Halloween formal wear now.

They can be found in the Main St Theater, but there is no FP.

Last year I waited about 20 minutes to see them.

I am so excited for this! Will definitely check out the threads after the start of the party! I really want to see Mickey and Minnie, Jack Sparrow, the 7 dwarfs, and as many villians as I can. We will for sure see the parade and the Haunted Wishes. I'm so super excited!

This is what I usually do. I watch the villains stage show at 8:50 pm. Meet and Greet the villains after the show. Hover in the hub area for Hallowishes at 9:30 pm. I watch the second parade at 10:30 pm, but I get my spot at 10:10 because the horseman comes a good 10 or 15 min before the parade.

Just a few notes:

The MK on MNSSHP nights is EMPTY! We had a big breakfast at Boma and got to MK just after RD. Everything for the most part was a walk-on, which was great because we didn't have to waste party time riding many rides (just HM, AO and WWPM).

What we did last year for the 7 Dwarfs was that after we checked-in for the party we had an early dinner at The Plaza (at about 4:30). After dinner we headed over to where the dwarves were and got in line at about 5:45. At that time we were already the 6th or 8th group in line. When they came out we were done with them and the treat path outside the splash que by 7:05. The dwarves met where Woody and Jessie meet and the line stretched all the way to the entrance of BTMRR. Waiting for them before the party gave us a chance to relax a bit before the party and took hardly any party time from us.

We headed over to HM after the dwarves and there was no line for either the ride or the 2 different special FP pictures. They do test out the special FP pictures durring the day when there is a party so we have practically the same pictures in the daytime and at night.

The Villain Meet and Mingle was most disappointing to us. The show was great but the mingle was rediculously short and chaotic. No real set lines so people were cutting at will. We watched the show twice and only got to see Hook, Dr. F, and the Snow Queen.

Mickey and Minnie were dressed up last year (Mickey was a pirate and Minnie was a princess). When we visited them (after the second parade) there was no line. We actually got to see a lot of the characters, with no line, after the second parade. We were able to walk up to Pooh and the gang with no line right before the second parade as well.

When are you attending the MNSSHP? I have to say the first time I went to in in 2005 it was great! The park was empty. It seemed the only people at the park that night were off duty CMs with the friends and family. It was great and they could not have been nicer (even when they were not working.) We felt like we had the whole park to ourselves.
Over the past few years it has really caught on. Not sure if WDW still limits tickets to these events I know that they once limited the tickets sold to 20K. Last year it was rather crowded but not unbearable especially away from the hub although this could be because of the construction walls and Toon Town closed at that point. There were waits as normal for several rides. I think this will ease up some as Story Book Circus is now open and will thin the crowd out further. Disney had given us VIP seating for the Parade on the bridge going to Liberty Square from the castle/hub area and it was really fun. With that said though after Hallowishes the place empties out and we were able to ride at will just remeber not all rides and attractions are open during the MNSSHP. One thing however you can ernter the park as early as 4pm to attend the event. The Decor is nice and the Ghost Host Voice and errie music.
You will have a good time!!
