I just spent a few days at WDW and was surprised that all locations I visited were using generic "bought them at Costco" napkins. I understand this was first reported a few weeks ago but the hope at that time was that this was temporary, perhaps a supplier problem. Now that I've seen these at multiple parks, restaurants, and resorts I fear this is permanent. Has anyone recently seen the "old" Disney theme park napkins at any locations?
To be proactive, I accept that some don't think this is a big deal. It's a reasonable opinion. IMHO, it is a big deal when a multi billion dollar corporation that claims to be a premium entertainment destination wants to charge me $90 per day for admission, $300 per night for a resort room, and $50 for a meal but doesn't match something that's provided at a fast food chain.
DW and I miss the location-specific napkins we used to get when dining at WDW in the 1990s. We always loved these little touches that made WDW feel so special and set itself a step above the rest. We enjoy WDW and will continue to go but, come on, is WDW really getting this petty?
Still hoping this is temporary.
