I'm loving all of these trees! Thank you so much Scott for taking these amazing shots, and thank you Steve for posting them!

Can't wait for TLM and BATB to open!

Looks great! I notice that the location of the small tent in the courtyard between the 3 big tents and the train station is now a planter with a large tree. I assume that that tent was scrapped?

The Beasts area looks fantastic! However, I'm starting to think it would have been great to have a new 20K in the Mermaid and Storybook tents area...just saying.

The way it looks beside the Mine Coaster it doesn't look far from being completed. Could it be a August soft opening for the area?

A tent was never set to go there. Just north of the location you speak of are concrete walls that will make an oval shaped tent.

This project is coming together nicely. We are now getting a feel for the footprint of the coaster. The trees near Be Our Guest, especially the pines, look great! And the Mermaid facade really pops with the palms. Also note the rock arch on the east side of Mermaid. Nice to see that effort.

I didn't notice that when I first looked at the pictures, but you are right there is a tree in place of what was a small blue tent in the model. Also looks like some pieces of steel sitting withing the curved concrete wall of the yellow tent. Roof will probably starting going up soon.

The issue is that the area around TLM is needed to get to the mine train. They're going to want to keep that area closed off as long as they can (holidays 2012).

My guess would be that BOG may open very soon (August/September), but TLM may not open all that early.

The tent he is referring to is the small blue one on the left side of the pictures:

I think they could get a construction wall in there that would allow people to get from the BatB area to the entrance of LM and still provide room for them to work on the Mine Ride and also a connection to the access road behind LM.

Thanks for the new photos!

The whole area is really shaping up. Tons of new trees added, more and more walkway work done. I also see the concrete work behind the carousel now looks complete as well.

I noticed the missing "tent" as well. When I was looking at concept art and photos a few weeks ago, I didn't expect a tent per se, but a shelter type cover with open sides that mimicked the design of the tents. It looked like landscaping would be around the outside of it in place of walls. Now with that huge tree in the middle, it does look like the shelter was scrapped. I like the brick look they're working on. I'm presuming this will be seating for the food service from the yellow tent...can't remember if that is general consensus on this spot from past discussions.

They very well could. However, if they can have more "breathing room" they're going to want to use it. It allows more equipment to be on-site, allowing more to be done in a day. Opening up the area this early just increases the amount of work that has to be done after hours, which equals longer construction time.

I'm not certain, just giving my best educated guess.;)

There is a (press) preview dinner for BOG tentatively scheduled for the first week in November.. don't expect it to open before that.

Won't be necessary.. All heavy lifts are complete for the FLE, and the onsite cranes are scheduled to depart soon... A lot of the outward aspects of the Seven Dwarves Mine Train are expected to be presentation ready this fall.. In other words, the bulk of the work will be inside the structure. HVAC is supposed to be completely installed in the show building by mid august...

I thought it looked like they were nearly finished with the crane, thanks for the info

I am surprised by this since they haven't even started installing the track yet. I would think that would require some good sized cranes.
