What happened to Lucky The Dinosaur? Will he ever do meet and greets? Because I think that a meet and greet in Dinoland USA would be AWESOME.

If I am not mistaken he has found a somewhat permanent home in the WDI warehouses in Anaheim. He will occasionally make appearances at special events.

Why do they keep him in the warehouse? It seemed like such a great piece of technology when he debuted and now they don't really use it. Doesn't make sense.

His last appearance was at 09's D23 Expo

Lucky was a prototype and like most prototypes he was very unreliable and simply could not stand up to the rigors of being on stage every day.
Even during his short 2-3 month time at AK he had to miss a lot of his scheduled appearances due to technical problems. We had to visit 3 days just to see him once. But he was impressive enough that when I signed up on WDWMagic a couple of months later I used his name.

We did the something similar. We went for 2 weekends back to back to try and see him. We got to see him on the last day. He was pretty impressive. Thankfully, we were able to see the Mobile Muppet Labs on the first shot.

Back in August 2005 I went out to WDW with a friend from Imagineering who was sent out to box Lucky up to be shipped to Hong Kong for the opening. I believe Lucky is back in California now and I don’t believe they have any plans for him right now.

Wasn't there a Wall-E and Luxor too? What happened to them? I would love to see one of these things but they never seem to stay around long enough.

Yes on both accounts. I am not sure what ever became of WALL-E but rumor is that Luxor was damaged beyond repair. Also Luxor was not a free roaming AA like Lucky, Muppet Labs ans WALL-E. Luxor was locked into a single location.

Maybe one day we'll see Wall-E in Epcot.I sent an idea in an email to Disney about having Wall-E for meet and greets in Future World in Epcot. I received a letter back saying they could not keep my email because it closely resembled projects being worked on. It also said they could not accept ideas from non-Disney employees.I guess we were thinking along the same lines. Hopefully it will happen in the near futures.

Are there any existing threads on the whole Luxor thing? On our last trip we stood outside waiting for him to appear and he never did. Guessing this is why (I didn't know he was down).
