Favourite battered food?

Ok,so I've just finished in the kitchen and have done 50 battered sausages,50 black puddings,50 haggis,and 70 fish,half cod,half haddock.Got me thinking,what is your favourite battered food at WDW. Iam curious about the Doh bars at Cookes of Dublin,never had one but will try this year. There's a local lad here done onion rings in a buck fast batter,sold like hot cakes.Have you got a favourite?

Onion rings...I love...onion rings.

But, they have to be a nice thick cut Vadalia onion, fried just right, so when you take a bite the onion is still, whole, moist, tender and sweet....

Vidalia onions
A Vidalia onion is a sweet onion of certain varieties, grown in a production area defined by law in Georgia and by the United States Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). The varieties include the hybrid yellow granex, varieties of granex parentage, or other similar varieties recommended by the Vidalia Onion Committee and approved by the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture.
The onions were first grown near Vidalia, Georgia, in the early 1930s. It is an unusually sweet variety of onion, due to the low amount of sulfur in the soil in which the onions are grown. Mose Coleman is considered the person who discovered the sweet Vidalia Onion variety in 1931.
Georgia's state legislature passed the "Vidalia Onion Act of 1986" which authorized a trademark for "Vidalia Onions" and limits the production area to Georgia or any subset as defined by the state's Commissioner of Agriculture

Though not the best I have had, nor the worst I have had, I like the Fish and Chips at the UK Pavillion with 10-15 packets of malt vinegar accompanying it.

Funnel Cakes...YUM... That would be my Mom's favorite. She always makes a stop out side the America and has her funnel cake. She is so much fun to watch, sticky fingers, power sugar flying in the air...I love it!

Lulabell, that's a bloomin' onion!! Had one two nights ago!! LOL and you are SO right!! Beer Battered Onions, in any shape or form work for me too!!!

Hmmm good question, they're really easy to make too!! But man oh man are they good!! ANYTHING fried in beer batter gets my vote!! LOL

Not sure if they are available nationally, but 10-15 Onions are some of the best you will find.

This brings me to another realization, when at Disney, we can get onion rings at 11am!!! (Not to mention a funnel cake or two, or three!!)

Yes. It's partially sliced, battered, then fried whole. Outback Steakhouse made them famous here in the US.

Exactly! I think the ones served in Outback are a bit to greasy. I started making them at home and wow, really good stuff.

Exactly right Lulabell, Ouback's are good, but a wee bit too much grease (but when we go to Outback, I still order one!)
