Why me. Just met some friends this morning at our supermarket and they are planning a trip to WDW this September. They want to stay onsite and have narrowed down to PORS or CBR. Now we have stayed at both and loved them, however they have noticed that Port Orleans now have queen size beds where Caribbean resort still has doubles. They asked me how bigger are the queens to the doubles? I've no idea as we always had a double in our last visits. So for help of pulling my hair out,can anyone come up with the bed sizes? I think I know why they want to find out as both him and her are,how can I put it,on the slightly large side, and have a son aged six and daughter aged eight who are about the right size for their age.So I can only presume father & son in one bed, and mummy & daughter in the other:shrug:So Iam in your debt for the answer!

Many Thanks.

Standard size for Full/Double mattresses is 54 inches wide. Standard size for a Queen mattress is 60 inches wide.

Your a lifesaver.I know that British sizes are smaller as we have a king size bed at home and it's 60". And the British queen is 54" [ The bed,not Elizabeth ]:ROFLOL:So cheers for that.

Huge or Humongous ?

This is why i Love OKW!! Their beds are HUGE!!!:ROFLOL:

Come on, like how huge do you need the bed?:ROFLOL:On our first trip our double at the CBR was bigger than the double at Sheraton on I-Drive,[ we done a two centre ] but yes I agree,I do like plenty of room in my bed.P.S. I once bought a water bed when I was with my first wife, but we drifted apart.:ROFLOL:

Hi there! So i just went through all of this when i was trying to decide where to stay - at PORS and CBR. I was told by the Cast Member who booked for me that CBR is full size beds and a few larger beds, but only bed in the room sot hat won't help. :brick: However...PORS royal rooms, are all queen!!! So I would book that room for them to make sure they get 2 queen beds. :) The size difference is as follows: a full bed is 54in × 75in and a queen bed is 60in × 80in. And I will say, that 3 inches is a huge difference.

Oh... I know this is going to start another wave of "inches making a difference" but, the beds are 6 inches wider, and 5 inches longer... not 3 in anyway... and 6 is WAY bigger than 3!

OMG. I wish I'd never asked this question. Now my DW wants to take a tape measure to check the size of the beds at PORS. [ at least I hope that's what it's for ] .That's it,this mad hatter is off to his wee Bonnie Scottish king size bed.[ about 6"" smaller than a American one ]:snore:
