The worst food

What is the worst food you have had while at WDW? For us it was the first time we tried the Rose and Crown and I ordered a steak. It came out charcoal. Thank goodness I was able to talk my wife into trying it again on a later trip. Now we love the place. What was your worst food experience?

ABC Commissary. Hands-down the nastiest place to eat on property. Cold, rubbery chicken nuggets and dried out, old, nasty burger. :hurl: No thank you.

I suppose I should have picked a consistently nasty place. I guess that would be Pizza Planet. Cardboard pizza anyone?

Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe across from the Tomorrowland Speedway. Bleh

Also did not care for the food at Boma @ AKL, but I'm a picky eater. Wife didn't care much for it either, but she ate some of the "adult" food. I ate food from the kiddie section like my kiddo did! :)

I would say that my most disappointing experience was at Rose and Crown as well. Didn't think that my meal was very good. Love the pub, but won't bother with the restaurant anymore (will go to Raglan Road instead if I am looking for that type of food).

Thanks for the insight..we LOVE Raglan Road and have thought long and hard about R&C and have just made it there for dinner. And wont stress over it any more.

If it counts as food, I think the cream cheese stuffed pretzel at the Magic Kingdom is the worst thing I've ever tasted in Disney World.

Wow, my favorite counter service and table service! Only as someone's least favorite. :ROFLOL:

:ROFLOL: It's bound to happen! We heard a lot of good things about Boma, but it just wasn't our cup of tea. I will say the Mac-N-Cheese and chicken nuggets were yummy. :slurp: :)

We did eat at the ABC Comm once. But that was because it was so hot outside and we just found the first eatery that was air conditioned. :)

I don't think i'd say i've ever had terrible food at WDW. I guess if i had to pick my least favorite it might be Pizza Planet. The pizza was just ok and we waited for probably 30 minutes in line just to get it. Then we had to find an open table, a 10 minute task. I just think Pizza Planet is a little overrated.

Our visit to Coral Reef in May 2011 = :hurl: My "catch of the day" that the waitress said was like swordfish was not. It was extremely bland and mine had small bone fragments in it. Barely edible.

But our visit in May 2010 my fiance ordered the swordfish and it was one of the best things we've ever eaten.

So I'm sure it depends on what you order.

My macaroni & gruyere cheese at Chefs de France was also gross. Very dry and very bland. Yuck.

Worse than Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe? Say it isn't so!

Cosmic Rays has one of the best deals on counter services among all parks. Rib and chicken platter is best bang for your buck on DDP. It may not be the best in taste but I would hardly put it among the worst. As others have said here ABC is pretty bad.

We like Mama Melrose and eat there all the time...but on our last trip DH got the pork chops for lunch and could not eat them due they tasted like pure SALT. Good thing we dine on the deluxe plan..we had plenty of food to share with him.
