Yet at TPFKaTD-MGMS, the show goes on no matter how pathetic a performance it may be.

Last night, no Sorceror Mickey and no Dragon (to go along with the myriad of effects the show goes on without on a nightly basis, well when they present it nightly!)

I pay very little to get in with my super cheapo AP. But what of all the Spirits that take a once in a lifetime trip ... or are just saving up for the big annual or bi-annual vacation?

Don't they deserve more?

Shame on TDO.

Pathetic.

TPFKaTD-MGMS???? Come on people. How much work is it to type a few extra words?
This is the sort of thing that makes newcomers to the board and Disney nuts. I'm sure those people saving up for a once in a lifetime trip as well as myself would appreciate the definition. I've been to the World at least 20 times and I have never seen that acromynm before.

The Park Formerly Known as the Disney-MGM Studios.

And it is pathetic if that really was the case. Even worse since the show has spent so many nights dark, the time is there for work to be done.

That's because the OP made it up himself, he thinks it's "cute" or something.

The Park Formerly Known as [erroneous "T" thrown in for confusion's sake] Disney-MGM Studios.

Not a good night obviously, but issues happen. Just ask Disneyland about their new dragon that fell apart in front of a full house.

You'd think that wouldn't be so tough to figure out. 'Course you'd think lots of things that aren't reality ...

Oh, it was the case. ... And a show missing so much just plain shouldn't be presented.

I'm sure :rolleyes::rolleyes: that it's 5-6 week close this winter will fix everything ... yep, I'm sure!

Monty ... I don't think it's cute, I just got used to the old name. Kinda liked it ... Disney likes to rename things so much these days they oughta be a stadium or arena.

And there's no extra 'T' ... unless you want to argue how people/companies drop the THE all the time now.

Pet Peeve: 'Let's go to Sean Smith in Studio' and not 'Let's go to Sean Smith in THE Studio'.

I don't have to. I was there that week last year (although not at the show).

Yes, things happen. But let's not use an example of something going wrong at one show to justify a pattern of neglect and issues at another. And that was a new plussed dragon ... wait, you have me making excuses and that's never right.

So ...

Seen Fantasmic in FLA lately? They can't even do basics like have torches on the canoes lit. They either: 1.) don't care; or 2.) don't mind giving poor show nightly and appearing that they don't and are simply incompetent about fixing things.

The torch issue has been ongoing since almost day one. I've spoken to a few techs about this over the years and have had a couple of explanations. One is with the performers not reigniting them, or there being too much wind and the performers killing the effect. Then there is also the product failure. So quite a few issues with that effect.

A Sorcerer Mickey failure is very rare - so you were unlucky. Although at that stage in the show they can't really just stop it. I would rather it see it end, albeit obviously not as designed.

The dragon has been much more reliable in recent years.

Holy acronyms Batman.

Also, count me in the group that feels it's time to get rid of this show and bring a legitimate fireworks show back to Disney Hollywood Studios.

There's a phrase, it's cliche, but completely relevant in this matter.

The show must go on.

I'm certain that the kettles A- didn't care, and B- would have been more upset if the show didn't happen.

Get over it.

I was at Fantasmic last Sunday, not this past Sunday.. And sorcerer mickey was missing from my show too... I have seen the show so many times (one of my favorite shows on proeprty) and I knew right away he was missing...

The DoM Crew or the Pixie Dust Brigade are going to be in full force on this one '74... TDo is pathetic and deserve the boot... But hey, what do we know??? We only demand the best that DISNEY has always demanded of themselves... Yet, are deemed Doomers and Gloomers.. The real problem with Disney are the people in the Pixie Dust Brigade, led my self serving Lou "I KISS TDO's BUTT FOR FREEBIES" Mongello....

That is very sad and unfortunate that this happened. It is incredibly bad show but like someone else said the show must go on. Besides, I'm sure you'll be back to see it again even though it's declining with each consecutive viewing. Personally I've never seen fantasmic, and with the way things have been lately with missing effects, I doubt I'll want to see it any time soon.

The show is in a very sad state... Has nothing to do with people here defending a minor glitch... The show has been in decline for a while.. Management sits on their butts collecting their bonuses while giving the guests a less that stellar product...

After this last trip I have decided I am now done with Disney's parks for a while... And if they don't improve, I'm done for good... I actually had a better time in my 3 days at Universal/IOA than in Disney...

BTW, off topic: Potter was amazing and kicks ANYTHING Disney has ever done....

That's the best thing you can do. It's counterproductive to sit up here and nit pick about how bad Disney is and then be the first person to line up to go. Yes it's possible to have problems with certain things they do, but if 95% of your trip reports are about how bad things are then maybe it's time to spend money elsewhere.

I was there on 10/5 and Sorcerer Mickey was also a no-show.

The dragon, however, made an appearance.

Actually, with Mickey not showing up on the mountain...it made the fireworks seems silly. He needs to be there conjuring them up!

Question to the OP...
Was it raining? Sometimes they cut parts of a show due to rain. (No rain when I had a Mickey no-show).

Would someone just ban this clown already?! We all know that he just comes here to stir the pot. Hell even Steve knows it and thats why he gave him that little "zing" back about DL's dragon. I don't get it?! Why is this guy given a free pass to be a troll here?? Is it just because of his affiliation with Lee? This is the same poster who was making snarky comments about this sites owner over at Discussion Kingdom. Anyone else would already have been banned and not welcomed back.
