We haven't heard a lot about Star Tours as of late... What's going on with that? Have they moved the new simulators in?

I, for one, would LOVE it if they had a very early soft opening of say, oh, maybe March or so to coincide with our March 2011 Spring Break trip. :lookaroun I know....keep dreaming! :ROFLOL:

I don't think there are actually new simulator cabins coming in. I was under the impression it will be the same ones with the new features added in.

I'm so excited that the trip after this one my BF will finally be able to see Star Tours. I'm only sad he never got to see the original.

Do you guys think they will have a soft opening? I will be leaving WDW on 05/15 and I think the ride is supposed to open 05/16.

My understanding is that the 5/16/11 date was only a placeholder, anyway. I don't think they've actually announced an opening date yet. I'm sure the ideal would be to open it in time for Star Wars weekends, which I don't think have been announced yet (could be wrong--I admittedly have not been LOOKING for those dates).
