A good avenue for Disney to start introducing the Marvel characters without the concern of integrating them into the existing parks....

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!
This would be a great idea (after they develop the v poor Walt Disney Studios) BUT, how do you do a Disney Park with Marvel Super Heroes??

Too many of the crazy thrill rides maybe? But this would be a rip of Isles of Adventure!!

Dark rides? With Marvel? How??

Parades??

Im not saying they cant do it but it would prove a massive challenge and real interesting to watch it develop

I like the idea but I can't help but think that a Pixar park would work better in Europe. Something like the new FLE layout with World Showcase-esque type lands.

DLR has some room for a small park however where the Marvel idea might be perfect.

Just my two cents.

Maybe, but has the carnival that is Toy Story Playland ruined the chances of that??

I think Disney sometimes does smaller treatments as test beds. For instance, I think the Nemo overlay at the Seas was a test to judge guest reaction as they were considering the Submarine overlay at DL and Little Mermaid attractions. If Nemo had surveyed poorly I'm not sure the other attractions would have happened in the way they did or will.

Personally i highly doubt the seas at wdw had anything to do with the submarines at DL, and a Little Mermaid dark ride is always gonna be a sure fire hit!! And going by the travesty that is Toy Story Playland i think a Pixar park would be a BAD idea!! They cant even get the cues right! And another point is the seas blows it away big time

A Marvel Park in a Disney Resort ( I actually cringe at the thought of it alone) would be a guaranteed financial desaster in DLP. The American superheroes are not that popular in Europe and they will not bring in the crowds needed. Europa has it's own comic culture that is totally different from the Marvel franchise, France has it's very popular Asterix and especially the French will consider a Marvel park in their own country an insult.

I doubt that Disney can actually pull off a Marvel park. Something like EuroCOT Center or EuroDisneySea would work a lot better.

I think you're wrong.
I know that TSP isn't the greatest in WDS but if you look at TSMM in DCA & DHS and at PP that shows that Disney could actually do a successful Pixar Park if the right budget went into it. :)
