I talked to a CM at Dumbo today. Here's what I learned:

- Dumbo closes next summer. Dueling Dumbos will be totally new, the old one will not be recycled and will go into storage for future use.

- TTF starts closing in phases this winter after the holidays and will be totally gone by the end of next summer.

- Tea Party gets a lengthy three month refurb soon, followed by Snow White, and hopefully PhillarMagic. (Pan gets a refurb after NextGen is done, according to tirian.) No more changes to Pan facade.

- Pooh playground gets moved to infront of Pooh- the area under construction now.

That's all I remember. Don't forget the NaCl.

It sounds like they are hiring bus drivers at dumbo.

Sorry to be a downer but

1-no, the higher ups have told me its moving
2-partially yes, partially no
3-partially yes, partially no
4-not exactly

I hope Philharmagic is getting a refurb. Last time I saw it, the film looked excessively blurry, like it was slightly out of sync. :(

Juan, now that you are back, is there anything more you can say. I know you said you would let us know whatever you can. Or did you do this in another thread?

thanks

I made some posts in some other threads about the expansion.
Summary: I found out everything, can't talk about it, tried to allude to some things.

Only info I can add is about #3. Yesterday a higher-up told me teacups will be down from I believe September 26 - November 11 (or somewhere around those dates) to get its roof replaced (not fixed - replaced). I don't know if it's the Paris roof or not, and I don't know if anything else about the ride will change ((please let them be repainting the turntable!! It's so faded and dirty!)).

So for a few weeks, the only thing in Fantasyland East that won't be under construction will be Snow White, and then Pooh and the teacups will reopen at around the same time in mid November.

When does Small World open again? I will be there during that time and don't want two FL attractions closed for refurbishment at the same time.

Small World reopens October 22nd. So it will be Small World and teacups for about a month, and then it will be Pooh and teacups from October 25th to mid November. So no matter how you slice it, two attractions will be closed. :( (Unless you go on October 22nd, 23rd, or 24th, the very small window when Small World and Pooh will both be open.)

That's wonderful news if true. I'd love it to be the Paris roof, but as long as it's better I'll be happy.

If all these closures occur so close together with some overlapping the sting of ticket price increase really hurts worse! Ouch!

I can not see storing the Dumbo attraction and creating two new devices unless they are doing a significant change to the ride mechanism itself?

Well, it is fun to watch and listen to the changes while away from the world.

While I don't think it's in the cards, I think they can actually lengthen this show. Add in another movie or two. I don't know that I've ever had to wait for anything more than the current show to end, so why not make it a bit longer?

Future use? That does not make a lot of sense to me, why build a new Dumbo spinner when you can use an old one? I know that sounds cheap, but...

- TTF starts closing in phases this winter after the holidays and will be totally gone by the end of next summer.

In phases? TTF is so tiny I don't see it closing in different phases, maybe I am not looking at the big picture.

I like the sound of that! FL needs some love.

- Pooh playground gets moved to infront of Pooh- the area under construction now.

Wouldn't that get a bit too crazy, having an attraction and a playground in front of each other?

The only one I believe is the third one.
