Resort Monorails

At one time were you able to take the monorail from the Poly to go to Epcot direct or have you always had to go to the TTC?

They would have had to redesigned the entire track layout to do so. Never happened.

The Epcot monorail beam was built "as is", basically as you see it today. It would have required lots of $$$ to rebuild it if they were to have done it the way you had mentioned.

Perhaps the person was referencing how you can walk to the TTC from Poly, and that is what he/she meant? I know I loved being able to do that this past summer.

Yeah, this. I think I've even read in a guidebook awhile ago how the Poly is the only resort you can take a single monorail to both the MK and Epcot. Of course meaning that you can walk to the TTC to get the Epcot monorail, instead of having to ride the resort line around. I loved being able to do that, too, the one time my family stayed there!
